I have to agree with PHB here. If you're certain to fail at least blow less money failing.

Scorpio • 3 years ago

My thoughts exactly

Dragon Fire • 3 years ago

Yeah but option one was too much money, so technically if they spent the money then they wouldn't fail according to Dilbert.

Denton Young • 3 years ago

Money they literally couldn't spend because there wasn't enough in the budget.

Dragon Fire • 3 years ago

Ha! like that stops management from going over budgets...

Denton Young • 3 years ago

If they go over budget they don't get their bonuses.

Dragon Fire • 3 years ago

That be true for many companies, others though will tie quality to it as well...and if they can't meet quality due to bad product, no bonuses as well. Usually though, seems the bigger the company...each department is ran like its own business and tries to pass expenses to 'other' departments to make their own look good, all the while screwing over the customers...but hey I got my bonus due to my department having good quality and good budget.

Yes, solder slut, but, you will be diassembled and your components will be in our parts boxes.

Peter Wone • 3 years ago

I think she wants your parts in her box. Specifically, your credit cards.

Anonymous • 3 years ago

That ain't going to happen. We'll have her components in our parts boxes, ready to be reused as something useful...such as a death ray.

Henwood • 3 years ago

A certain orange baboon should be taking notes by this time.

ScottPM • 3 years ago

He already has. This is why Trump has been fighting the trade war with China. Other Presidents have let China fight a trade war with us with no repercussions.

Henwood • 3 years ago

Better no repercussion than negative repercussion.

ScottPM • 3 years ago

So losing a war over 20 years is better than fighting a war and winning.

Wiseguy • 3 years ago

Wake up. Trump kisses China's ass. Oh, that's right, you only watch fake FOX news.

James Morton • 3 years ago

Ever hear of tariffs?

OmniscientOne • 3 years ago

Yeah, I suppose you believe China pays them.
Are you in the market for a bridge?

Henwood • 3 years ago

Yes. They were a crucial part of the orange baboon's war on family farms and mom and pop businesses.

Øystein Jakobsen • 3 years ago

...you mean the same way Trump say that Mexico is paying the wall by forcing americans to pay extra for Mexican goods?

A tariff is a sales tax paid by the consumer, only on products from another country rather than all products. Consumers are still buying the products because the products are still better for them (cheaper, more available, better suited etc). The looser is american companies and consumers who pay more for steel or avocados or whatever than they otherwise would.

To reiterate: Tariff is a sales tax, paid by (american) companies and consumers. The producing country (china, mexico) do not pay.

How is this confusing?

(oh PS, a trade imbalance with a particular country is not an inherently negative thing. You have a trade imbalance with your local baker because you buy bread there, without him buying anything back from you. This might be too much so we leave that for another day)

StarPass • 3 years ago

Not when the shipper manipulates its currency, Snowie.

Øystein Jakobsen • 3 years ago

1. Saying "currency manipulator" does nothing to change that US citizens pay tarriffs, not the exporting country.

2. "Currency manioulator" is a uniquely US term, no other country (mine included) care about it.

Using quantitave easing or other financial instruments to relieve your own currency (which the US does frequently mind you, such as massive tax cuts or issuing bonds) is done by all countries, all the time! Mostly to manage inflation, but there can be other reasons.

Basically diminishing the value of your own currency willfully to lower export prices, also backfires on imports. Your own workers take an instant cut in their paycheck, and usually affects inflation and is countered at the next salary negotiation. Do it too often or too much, and tou get booted out of office. Again, usually importing countries dont mind prices going down, especially if it comes at the expense of some foreign worker's ability to sustain a decent life.

Im guessing you are more content with shouting UNFAIR and some such instead of learning basic economy. But, I wrote this. Maybe you will think twice about defending mr T and his ineptitude at all costs, but I doubt it...

ScottPM • 3 years ago

You’re thinking of democrats. Using the word thinking very loosely.

Guest • 3 years ago
ScottPM • 3 years ago

No. You totally missed it like a typical lying fascist leftist.

For inbred, you must be projecting.

Since all taxes end up being paid by consumers, a corporate tax cut is good for people with pension funds, IRAs, or 401k’s, which is everyone that works. So I guess that leaves you out.

I don’t carry a Bible and gun everywhere, but there’s nothing wrong with either.

You mean like the rape victims from the occupy Wall Street movement? Or the BLM rioters? If leftists would stop committing crimes, the crime and murder rates would drop to historical lows.

You should understand that people don’t want your fascist leftist version of government. If you want that, move to Venezuela. Many democrats have called it a socialist paradise. Why don’t you move there?

sonOsamp • 3 years ago

No (lol). Actually I have a master's in electrical engineering so yes I pay lots of taxes. I am Dilbert basically. Thanks for the long reply.

Here is an article on conservatism and how families like yours are more likely to inbreed. Conservatives are less open to diverse relationships and prefer screwing cousins rather than dirty foreigners.

https://www.psychologytoday...

Are you seriously implying that corporate tax cuts get passed on to the consumer? That's exactly untrue and the whole reason why I brought it up.

Bibles and guns are the worst of the worst. Religion was concocted to support fascism. It's ironic that you don't realize that. Look up the definition of fascism, it is far-right ideology. Authoritarianism is right wing. The left want fairness. All of the best countries have much lower inequality than the US.

Law enforcement exists solely to protect rich people. And people who become cops have either been harmed by a "criminal" in the past or are complete psychopaths. There are no "good" cops. They are power whores. And America's for-profit jails are an atrocity.

Are you saying riots are synonymous with rape? You've got your two brain cells rubbing together good today don't ya?

Below shows that a majority of white criminals would vote republican. And we all know most colored people in jail are there for things like smoking weed or simply just being black.

https://www.themarshallproj...

Finally, the US Democrats are farrrrr from leftists. That's cute that you think that. Actually Canada's conservatives are more left wing than your democrats.

And people wanted Hillary. Can't you remember how your bizarre electoral college made the orange dicktater win the election? *Shit now he knows I'm Canadian* To be honest, four more years of Trump would probably cause a civil war in your country which might be a good thing. That might actually drain the swamp.

Until next time...

Lon Mead • 3 years ago

For someone who likes to use the word "retarded" and "inbred", you sure seem retarded and inbred.

sonOsamp • 3 years ago

That hurts Lon, if that is your real name. Parents too retarded and inbred to add more letters?

Lon Mead • 3 years ago

I'm almost willing to bet you take after your father/brother.

ScottPM • 3 years ago

Congrats on you Masters if you have it. I have a PhD in Physics. So F off you lying weasal.

adam • 3 years ago

Intelligent people don't vote for Republicans. Only blue collars who believe the lies and psychopaths. You = liar.

ScottPM • 3 years ago

Now there’s another big fat lie. Two of the most intelligent economists I know of, retired professors of economics, have numerous papers and best selling books. And they both are conservatives. Perhaps you’ve heard of them, Dr Thomas Sowell, and Dr Walter Williams.

Basically you have once again fallen for the leftist lie that intelligent people only vote for democrats. All this has done is to get you to not think for yourself. You have clearly been indoctrinated not educated. Try learning a few things. Go and reread Sowell & Williams’s columns. They’re on townhall.com. If you’re like most leftists then you’ll keep your mind closed. So prove you have an open mind and are capable of learning.

Catbert de Vil • 3 years ago

Not anymore after the Chinese virus killing 100k+ Americans. Trump planned to shake Red China down a year ago with his bad-cop negotiation tactics, but after the bio-weapon attack, Red China has revealed their true ganster face and we have to kill it now.

Steve Eykel • 3 years ago

Where could you possibly be getting the idea that Trump kisses China's ass? Oh right, China's ass.

eon2 • 3 years ago

Why? The entire world was run that way from 2008 to 2016 as both Washington and the UN lunged from one poorly-thought-out exercise in dogma to another.

Doing the same thing over again and expecting better results is the mark of insanity, according to Dr. Einstein.

But you weren't supposed to notice.

Bubba970 • 3 years ago

It was Benjamin Franklin, not Einstien.

Todd Vance • 3 years ago

I know Einstein said it, but I guess he could have been quoting Mr. $100 bill.

Todd Vance • 3 years ago

Ok I looked it up. Business Insider claims nobody can prove Einstein said it. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't.

But Not Documented doesn't always mean false.

You will never find a documented quote that the artist-mathematician Helaman Ferguson said "I can tell where anybody is from when they talk". But he said it...I was there. (He then asked me, "So, what part of Texas are you from?" and I replied...uh...not from Texas, from West Virginia....oops!)

sonOsamp • 3 years ago

It's more likely that some moron made it up. That's how most of our history works.

Miscreant_Mutt • 3 years ago

There is a book I discovered decades ago titled "They Never Said It", which gives a list of spurious quotes misattributed to various historical figures, including WhatsHisFace, WhatsHisName, and WhoGivesaF**k. Based on their known recordings and writings, plus eyewitness accounts, none of those remarks could be confirmed as coming from them.

Emmett Brown • 3 years ago

Like everything else, Einstein plagiarized it.

Okay, the photoelectric effect was probably his, but it wasn't a big deal once the old quantum theory explained the ultra violet catastrophe.

Steve Eykel • 3 years ago

I disagree. It's not the mark of insanity, it's the mark of mediocrity. Little minds just don't know how to stop doing what they're doing.

Miscreant_Mutt • 3 years ago

"Persistence" and "Determination" are not signs of little minds.

But do go ahead and prove your own point by dragging this out one more day.

Wiseguy • 3 years ago

You mean like Trump saying or doing something stupid every day? Or do you mean like Trump supporters ignoring Trump saying or doing something stupid EVERY DAY?
