I almost have to laugh at the stupidity of those servants who believe they are leaders . The voters are reaping just what they have sown . I find it quite amusing . Get you a big fast gun . Put it where you can get to it quickly ladies and don't let your " Leaders " get you murdered !

Corvettekid • 2 years ago

Trump needs to send 100's of ICE agents into San Francisco and the surrounding areas and start sweeping up ALL illegal aliens, including DREAMers. Start rounding them up....then put them on some atoll in the Pacific.

jonnathan arteaga • 2 years ago

What about me? I was born in another country and brought here as a kid

Corvettekid • 2 years ago

Are you a citizen ? If not, you have to register as an alien.

jack bauer • 2 years ago

Include all the politicians who voted to make CA a sanctuary state.

BlackBeardsGhost • 2 years ago

I would tremble and fall down crying if I could place flowers on her memorial, how could the Democrats ignore her...monsters!

jack bauer • 2 years ago

Yes, the horrible dems are monsters who could not care less about protecting Americans.

Corvettekid • 2 years ago

'Cause votes are more important than American lives. The Democrats would sell their mothers as whores if it got them 1 more vote.

Zeezladon • 2 years ago

Its quite possible Ms. Larsen voted Democrat.
Thanks to sanctuary laws written by Democrats, she is dead.
Thanks to a unilateral decision made by a Democrat governor, her killer is being spared.
Democrats should be ashamed, but apparently they are not.
Why Californians keep voting for them is perplexing to say the least.

jonnathan arteaga • 2 years ago

Why do you blame immigration? That could have been anybody it could have been someone born here, what if he was born here who do you blame then?

Ellis Clevenger • 2 years ago

We would blame the perpetrator.
In this case, the instrument of Ms Larsen's death, is an illegal immigrant.
The perpetrator is the State of California. Accomplices are those who refused ICE requests, and those who voted for Sanctuary Statehood.

Deplorable Elhavlco • 2 years ago

Carranza is an illegal alien.

He is not an "undocumented immigrant". He has documents; they show that he is in this country illegally. He is not an immigrant; he is an invader and was not invited into this country.

Anthony Stegman • 2 years ago

This is deja vu all over again. In 2007 a similar murder occurred in Milpitas. In that case it was a Chinese victim and a Filipino perpetrator. In both cases drug use was involved. I knew the Milpitas victim. When I heard of this case it brought back all kinds of sad feelings. It was happening again, even though I didn't know Bambi Larson. I hope her family gets justice, as well as any closure they are able to find.

Johnny Frankman • 2 years ago

"Undocumented residents will lose trust in local police. Crimes will go unreported for fear of deportation. Criminals will roam free to victimize others. We’ll all be at risk.

“We will not do anything to violate that trust,” said San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia at a press conference in December. “Without cooperation, we would be ineffective as a department.”"

Angela Moore • 2 years ago

And in Chief Garcia's head, it's Trump's fault that CIS didn't get a 'warrant' to finally apprehend this piece of barely-human filth before it could k ill one of us.

jack bauer • 2 years ago

Garcia should be arrested for aiding and abetting illegal aliens, and for being an accessory to murder.

Corvettekid • 2 years ago

Bambi was sure at risk.

I about choked when Liccardo came out against the county rules. If he could, he would have done the same thing and probably more, this is the guy who just last year put up a million or so city dollars for the legal defense of illegals fighting deportation. What a POS two-faced politician. We don't forget Liccardo.

Zeezladon • 2 years ago

SJ Police Chief Eddie Garcia was interviewed by NBC over the weekend, and had choice words for the sanctuary policies of Santa Clara County. His position is that he is responsible for the safety of the citizens of San Jose, and sanctuary laws get in the way, the heck with them. Finally, someone gets it.

jack bauer • 2 years ago

Garcia has a badge, gun and has sworn an oath to protect and serve yet won't cooperate with other law enforcement agencies. As a direct result there are dead Americans.
If he is not arrested, he should be fired. And if not fired then his salary should be revoked.

Johnny Frankman • 2 years ago

Except that a few years ago, the same Eddie Garcia held a press conference supporting sanctuary cities. Now that the inevitable has happened he is pretending he's never been a supporter. He is part of the problem.

jack bauer • 2 years ago

Right! Garcia is an accessory to murder.

Zeezladon • 2 years ago

To me, the mark of a true professional is someone who can admit they made a mistake and then correct it. Hopefully, Chief Garcia is such a man. I would hope that Mr. Newsom is as well, but his actions thus far say no. As far as Rep. Zoe Lofgren is concerned, forget it.

Jo • 2 years ago

“Break-ins, yes, of course,” said another retired longtime resident, Cathy Bachmann. But a homicide?"

you people are so weak and feeble that you've come to accept residential burglaries. and you are surprised when you welcome, accept and defend "low level" crimes that a criminal would dare escalate their habits? all of you voted for Bambi to be murdered. don't blame the illegal, blame yourselves, as you are the ones who created the environment which welcomes him and others like him (im not only referring to illegals, but criminals of all origins)

Anthony Stegman • 2 years ago

Your remarks are a sign of ignorance. Homicides are perpetrated by many types of persons - documented and undocumented, white, black, brown, yellow, green, and purple.

jonnathan arteaga • 2 years ago

Exactly what I'm saying

Jo • 2 years ago

you also missed the part where I said "im not only referring to illegals, but criminals of all origins." the people who voted for the environment that welcomes violent illegals ALSO voted the environment that welcomes violent American criminals. Think AB 109, Prop 47. Prop 57 and all the local ordinances and policies that cater to the criminal rather than the victim. if anyone is ignorant, it is those with heir heads firmly planted ten feet deep in the sand... to include yours.

Jo • 2 years ago

talk to me about the federal prison population and how much of it consists of illegal aliens. whats your cut off number for deaths attributed to illegals before you believe it is worth it to merely enforce our immigration laws and not make it so easy and comfortable for those who are here illegally?

1? 10? probably a million.

Jo • 2 years ago

"If it saves even one life, isnt it worth it "

Sound familiar?

Yore Crazee • 2 years ago

He's just a poor misunderstood Dreamer. If the dang planet wasn't getting so hot, and white privilege didn't eliminate the paper route he was almost qualified for, and the price of opioids wasn't so steep, he would be a shoo-in for the Stanford Grad track. If only Obama was still the president. He would have had a free phone and O would have said he could have been his son.

Illegal immigrants including those who are criminals are the fair-haired boys of the Left.

Sal • 2 years ago

We need more of these hard working Characters....NOT.

When san jose closed up the Jungle 4 years ago homeless/illegals, etc., spread out and established bases in the neighborhood where this occurred. they played cat and mouse, moving from river bed to highway underpass, stalking the neighborhood, stealing mail/parcels/bicycles, home/auto burglaries abound. You can even see the hierarchy at work in & around the local stores in the area. These loiterers fit Jerry Jeff Walker's version of " Desperado's Waiting for a Train " to a " T ".

SanJoseMax • 2 years ago

Our San Jose City Council encourages homeless migration into our city. If you work hard, pay your taxes, and have a roof over your head , then you are considered elite , entitled and NIMBY.

Mary • 2 years ago

I have a real hard time with this Sanctuary city stuff. Why would anyone want to protect someone committing crimes and give them a free ride. This guy should have been turned over to Ice along with a bunch of others. This should have been voted on by the people of the state. Now our death penalty that is as alreDy voted on is being put on hold. This beautiful woman would still be alive if this dirt bag was deported many crimes ago.

Melencholanomie • 2 years ago

The Sanctuary Laws were legislated as a response to the 2017 changes in ICE policies ; which targeted a specific segment of the population; specifically the ICE Detainer and the ICE Warrant. The ICE Warrant does not require a judge’s signature as a regular warrant does, nor does it require a probable cause for such a warrant, It is signed by an ICE official. It is not backed up by any laws.
The ICE Detainer is a request to county jails to hold someone beyond the legal 48 hrs, for up to an additional 48 hrs, before filing charges. The 48-Hour Rule comes from the Supreme Court’s ruling in County of Riverside v. McLaughlin. It provides that when a person, whether adult or juvenile, is arrested without a warrant, a probable cause determination must be made without unreasonable delay and cannot occur more than 48 hours after arrest. What this means is that the Court must determine whether there was probable cause for the arrest within 48 hours of the arrest. The time period for the 48 hours starts immediately at the time of the arrest.

The ICE Detainer does not require probable cause nor is it signed by a judge.

P Roppo • 2 years ago

Nice try but "sanctuary city" laws have been protecting illegals and illegal criminals far longer than 2017.

Get off the Mary jane.

TheLooseThread • 2 years ago

You are incorrect. I suspect you know you are incorrect.

You say:
"The ICE Detainer is a request to county jails to hold someone beyond the legal 48 hrs..."

ICE says (https://www.ice.gov/detaine...

"A detainer requests that a LEA (the cops) notify ICE as early as practicable – ideally at least 48 hours – before a removable alien is released from criminal custody and then briefly maintain custody of the alien for up to 48 hours to allow DHS to assume custody for removal purposes..."

ICE is requesting that before releasing a criminal back into the population that the state notifies ICE they are going to do so. Then to hold that person for (and I'm quoting them above) "for up to 48 hours." They say up to 48 hours in order to be within the time period for probable cause review by a judge. All Americans can be held on perceived probable cause for up to 48 hours. Illegal aliens do not have more rights than Americans.

Lets tie this situation together so that it is clear to all readers. Carranza has prior convictions for kidnapping, drug possession, battery on a police officer, trespassing and burglary. Each time he was in jail the state could have notified ICE before he was released. For example: he is jail on the kidnapping conviction and is going to be released in, lets say, 2 weeks. Notify ICE before that release. Then hold him briefly for up to 48 hours (again, the legal 48 limit). If ICE was notified ahead of time the amount of time needed to hold him may be literally 30 seconds, the time it takes to physically hand him off to ICE.

You try to imply that this is the law and is just the way it is. We, the people, create the laws. California just passed SB54 which prevents local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE nor a single dime to be spent on enforcement.

Both the leaders of California and you exhibit the same mentality and this mentality explains the issue facing Americans even more than this article does.

Why, when our fellow American neighbors are being murdered would a person's mind turn to ways to defend the situation or ways to create laws to ensure more Americans are murdered? I believe there are only two reasonable explanations:

1) Self destructive mental illness.

2) You allegiance is not to your fellow Americans, but to non-Americans.

Americans are in their right to remove people falling into either bucket from power or influence.

Really. Let’s have another agency to watch over ICE. An American Gestapo and SS

TheLooseThread • 2 years ago

Part of this is our fault. My generation should have done more to protect you from liberal indoctrination. It has left you hating your country and I suspect your fellow Americans. You spend your energy trying to defend the situation leading to murders of your countrymen. It sounds like you are railing against capitalism in other posts.

For my part in not fighting hard enough against liberalism in the schools I'm genuinely and sincerely sorry.

Melencholanomie • 2 years ago

Disagreeing with someone who calls themselves “Liberalism is Mental Illness” in a Disqus Forum Is not an example of hating America or Americans . As for speaking for a generation, you are somewhat delusional and grandiose in that sense.

KR • 2 years ago

The probable cause is illegal entry into the United States, which is a crime, no matter how much Democrats would like it not to be.

Melencholanomie • 2 years ago

Read the rule
You and I can’t make this up.
You can if you want.
Has nothing to do with Democrats, it’s an ICE policy. Look it up

Melencholanomie • 2 years ago

Actually, “Both an ICE detainer and an ICE warrant are issued based on alleged civil immigration violations and do not provide probable cause of a crime.”

Legalese gobbledygook from a liberal website. Common sense tells most Americans that entering the US illegally is a violation of US law. That is a crime. Throughout most of the world, common sense dictates that those who enter a country illegally should be detained until deportation, not released into the country. Try approaching the shores of Japan on a private boat with out legal permission. Their coast guard will detain you until they deport you. It is this lack of common sense by American liberals that has given us Donald Trump as president. You have only yourselves to thank.
