The wolves who control the sheep have filled the sheep with fear. The greatest scam ever foisted on mankind. All in an effort to take down capitalism when they couldn't get it to happen with their bogus cries of global warming. Then along came the bad orange man who really set them back in their destructive efforts. So, it became gloves off, let's destroy the world. It's communism or bust for these despicable global elitists.

Your conclusion is a possibility. But what to do about it? If true, it demonstrates that they are ready and willing to sacrifice and risk everything to accomplish their goals. How can we combat such insane recklessness?

Stuart Harnden • 4 years ago

By not going back to work we are just delaying the inevitable. There will be just as many sick and deaths if we stay jailed in our homes. It will just take longer. The longer we stay from opening our economy up the harder it will be to resume it. If we stay shut down much longer we can change the name of our country to Venezuela 2. To keep sick people in their home is a Quarantine, to keep healthy people in their home is Tyranny.

Compare us to Sweden and they are doing nothing and have the same results as we do. Scary how many people put up with the Dictator like agenda right now from Governors to Mayors etc.

I wonder how many people on ventilators would share your bravado.

Beverly • 4 years ago

LOL You apparently haven't heard. Ventilators are a problem. What people need is oxygen to breath, not the help of a ventilator. The ventilator may actually be doing harm.

I wonder how many people are on ventilators due to influenza for some reason we don't track the flu virus on an hourly basis like we do the Wuhan flu.

"Americans seem less and less inclined to move swiftly.... "

Someone once said, A body at rest tends to stay at rest...

We need to get our motion back, America.

Not all at once though, agreed.

I've got a large dental practice. If I had a truckload of disposable PPE I could open. I can't see us going from room to room treating our usual 50 patients a day while wearing the same possibly contaminated PPE. Scrubs and labcoats and flimsy procedure masks aren't gonna cut it against Wuhan virus.
As the owner I have to worry about huge, almost inevitable lawsuits,..if one of my employees dies or infects their home-bound families,..or even if one of my patients claims they got Wuhan at my practice.
Most dentists and doctors are keenly aware of the litigation disaster that could take place and ruin them. One thing Trump could do to open the country is issue a blanket protection from Wuhan litigation, ala the Good Samaritan law, to health care providers, public and private.
You can already see the Wuhan attorneys, circling like hungry vultures,..

Elizabeth • 4 years ago

I would go to the dental office and not worry as long as you make sure your workers are safe and do not give me anything, I may be in the vulnerable category as I am a woman over 60 and have health conditions, however I am not, nor have I had any signs of this virus and I feel protected.

I had my teeth cleaned on March 12th and had no problem at all here in Newport Beach, Ca.

I cannot make an appointment in Oregon, until Sept unless it's an emergency

Elizabeth • 4 years ago

Our great governor says nothing that is not an emergency in Oregon. My daughter had a botched gall bladder surgery and is bleeding internally, but got released due to covid and cannot get blood transfusions she needs to stay alive because our governor thinks she is god

Floop • 4 years ago

As a dental practice it would be virtually impossible for him to "make sure" his workers don't give you anything. That is why he is advocating for blanket protection from Wuhan litigation.

Nice post. I agree. Makes perfect sense.

Steve • 4 years ago

As you well know, you haven't seen anything yet. Lawyers will be coming out of the woodwork to grab whatever scraps they can. All that is going to be left is government money, our tax dollars. They will gladly take it and then when they collapse who will they turn to.Obama TALKED about tort reform and did NOTHING.

As soon as restaurants open, I'll be there! This shutdown was completely unnecessary https://www.dailywire.com/n... .

"Quit Falsely shouting virus Chinese Wuhan virus and causing a panic"

Waldon Petersen • 4 years ago

China quarantines all foreigners for 14 days before they can move around. The USA lets foreign criminal illegal invadors loose in our neighborhoods while demorat governors lock up law abiding working people in their homes.

SCSOCAL • 4 years ago

My friends came back from Mexico at the end of March and they had to self quarantine for 14 days. But our governor is letting criminals out of jail so they won't catch the virus but won't let citizens buy guns. You can see who the would be dictators are in the U.S. running states or cities!!

Trish Jacobs • 4 years ago

Open up, I agree. Had it been a liberal in office when this happened, we would remain locked down, all our rights taken away, and we wouldn't have been able to do a thing about it, because everything would have been set against us. God Bless Mr. Trump and God Bless America!!!

Blair • 4 years ago

What's funny is that Obama had H1N1 come through America at the time and they didn't lock down anything. An estimated 60 million Americans got sick and ~15,000 died. And yet no one blew a gasket. There was no shutdown of anything. People just went on with their lives.

Karl Beilstein • 4 years ago

We can study this damned thing to death, but it should not be the death of our economy and our country. It is time to start moving forward. Instead, the Governors like Hogan in Maryland are moving back and making even more draconian measures. We have to start to open up and make it work!!!

Randy Leyendecker • 4 years ago

The sole reason why our economy was shut down was the panic caused by that initial computer model that predicted there would be 2.2 million deaths in the USA. That is what caused all of the dominoes to fall and nearly the entire economy was shut down. Now we've got to start opening it up somewhere to get the gears moving before they are frozen in place. Fear caused Trump to take the action that he did and fear continues to permeate the government and society. There are vast areas of the country that are disease-free. Why keep them shut down? That is ludicrous. Nearly 1/3 of my state of Texas is disease-free. Why not open them up without restrictions and discourage those in diseased areas from travelling to these areas. We simply have to take prudent risks to return the economy to normal. Just as the shutdown stretched out the presence of the disease, slowly bringing the economy back will simply stretch out the pain, making it far more difficult to return to normal. Yes, people will be slow to return to stores, but that fear will vanish once the process is started. The country needs to be focused on a return to an open economy and NOT to prevention of even a single additional person becoming infected.
As an engineer I can safely state that ALL computer models are WRONG. The sole question is HOW WRONG. The model used in this pandemic is about the worst I have ever seen. It rivals the global warming model developed using fabricated data at East Anglia University in the UK.

That's a good point, Blair. Thank you for reminding me. I try to avoid painful memories like 2009-2016.
