Hi there, I I apologize for coming out of left field but if there's anyone that can help me. My name is jD.
I inherited a few pictures autographed autographed from the astronauts in the Apollo missions.

I have a question. not sure if you could help. I have a picture of the Apollo 11 take off autographed by all three astronauts. It is in a frame along with the patch and I believe it's a piece of some type of lunar Rock.

The second one is the 1986 free Union with all the astronauts autograph with a picture of two children gazing at the Moon. is to in a frame and I believe it's the original.
I'm trying to find out the best way to sell two (mentioned above) of my five pictures. If you have any advice , I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Leave them outside your house with an honesty box.

Wally was also suffering during the mission from nicotine withdrawal and missing his evening martini. He was much happier and more relaxed when I saw him a month later across the street from NASA at the Monterrey House restaurant with a big pitcher of beer, a big plate of nachos, and a smoke.

Just curious.

What historical achievement were you celebrating, there? :)

None. Just clarifying a bit the circumstances of the alleged "mutiny". Against the flight surgeon's orders he was sneaking smokes out behind the astronaut's gym on the JSC back 40. He was normally very pleasant and a nice guy to work with...

Years ago, I took my family on the obligatory tour of Cape Canaveral (as it was then). We were on the high platform.

We got a wave from Gus Grissom who was checking out the tiny space capsule, that was perched on the very top of this huge ICBM, basically a bomb, with a couple of his associates who we assumed were Roger Chaffe and Ed White.

All soon to validate my worst fears.

In today's news, the danger continues. It is reported the the Russian Soyuz rocket carrying our astronauts failed, and they were lucky to survive.

Very special people, but human, nevertheless.

A smoke and a beer off duty is not a big problem, in fact the government provided cheap liquor and cigarettes to its brave soldiers and sailors in both World Wars.

Never voyage absent a zampolit. The crew always feels better after. reasoning with the zampolit.

When you have "the right stuff", common sense can save you from remote "rules, regulations, and policies".

Chewing gum and duct tape? :)
