Why hasn't this article been corrected yet?
Who is funding this Window To The World?

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

This is due to the fact that the article cited does Not require any correction. It is an accurate, honest depiction of events. Please, if you have a correction - kindly cite it.
The station is supported primarily by contributions from viewers and from not for profit foundations.
It is not a commercial TV station, it is public TV.
Fox is a commercial TV station, and you can readily see the bias in their news. Public TV does not have this bias.

AP seems they are always half right all the time

Fake news as always. When will these media geniuses learn to verify anything.

Update : missiles were Ukrainian being launched as air-defense. Oops.

Neal • 1 year ago

WRONG! Ukrainian self-defense missiles are designed to self-destruct in the air if they do not hit their targets. Further, Ukraine is being denied access to the site. The debris matches design of Russian missiles. Analyses reported on YouTube (certainly not the legacy corporate media) now also show that the coordinates of the location in Poland match EXACTLY the latitude of one specific target in Kyiv and the longitude of one specific target in Lviv. Some operator in Russia got coordinates switched.

If what you say is true, why haven't we been told it on the major news channels, like, maybe, C-SPAN? I watch news on France 24 too.

Even if it was a Ukrainian missile, 99% of the blame goes on Russia, who necessitated the defensive actions by Ukraine.

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

If the Russians hadn't invaded there wouldn't be Any missiles flying over Ukraine. It's 100% Russia's fault.

Richard Zupkus • 1 year ago

If NATO didn't threaten expanding upon Russian border then this atrocity wouldn't have happened.
It's 100% your great grandparents' fault that you are here.
How about instead of blaming others we take responsibility to make this world a better place for every one of us; including those who don't agree with us?
Diversity is beautiful.
(And so were your great grandparents.)

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

It was Not NATO threatening to expand so much as Ukraine seeking to join NATO.
At that point Russia had already invaded into Crimea. As Ukraine was not a NATO Nation, nobody did anything to help. Your depiction of these events is erroneous, incorrect. The Russians attacked, invaded Ukraine because Putin is trying to revive the former Soviet Union. He is a madman, a war criminal similar to Adolph Hitler.
He is not in anyway beautiful.

Sounds like a reasonable argument. If Illinois was not run by Democrats, there would not be a net exodus of residents. If the parking meters were not sold off, the City of Chicago could be benefiting from the increased parking meters fees that are being charged. I think I understand...

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

If Illinois were run by Republicans, there would be More leaving. The State is actually doing quite well, economically. And look at those last election results - Republicans losing members left and right.
Can you blame them? Trump runs, again. Republicans leave, in droves.

Florida and Texas are Run by republicans and there is a net population increase year after year, in fact all states run by republicans have a net population increase year after year. Just based on birth rates being greater than death rates, it is basically impossible to have a net decline in population, but Illinois did it.

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

More sour grapes, from a sore loser.

Coco • 1 year ago

Stating facts is sour grapes? The rest of the country is on Board, the House is Republican again. I guess when Illinois is 100% democrats you will be much more happy, but probably taxed much higher, the million dollar transfer tax will drop to $200k so everyone can be equally happy about their contributions to the homeless.

Earlier today I saw someone on TV - sorry, I forgot which channel and don't know the speaker's name - say it very succinctly: "Even if it wasn't Russia's fault, it was Russia's fault." The individual missile might not have been Russia's fault, but the whole invasion of Ukraine in which this event is enmeshed, is.

Richard Zupkus • 1 year ago

JeanSC • 1 year ago

I heard this too. But I don't think saying "Oops" is appropriate. Too flippant. We still don't know how this missile ended up hitting inside Poland. What kind of course controls did it have? Was it just aimed and launched? Did wind aloft play a role? Is it possible it glanced off the Russian missile it was supposed to hit fully, and end up off course in that way?

Ross Petersen • 1 year ago

Do you have a source for this? We saw dozens of cruise missiles launched into Ukraine yesterday.
Yet you're claiming these were Ukrainian?

Gary Chicago • 1 year ago

This is how wars start ,,,,,,,locally to regionally and then .......

JeanSC • 1 year ago

Russia's "special military operation" is called "war" by most other nations. And this invasion was begun by Putin just because he decided to start it.

Russians have reached into their warehouses, and are giving it everything they've got. Those missiles aren't cheap, either.
Reason for this is Ukraine is making significant headway in turning back these war criminals and have killed thousands.
Invasion is Not going well for Russia and we need to continue to support Ukraine.

War is big money for Washington DC and their lobbyists.
