BMW should have had the foresight to rebrand and reuse the i branding a few years back. Drop the i from the petrol models completely and reintroduce it on electric versions of series models. BMW 530 (petrol), 530e (hybrid), 530i (electric). So logical and simple. Sure it might have taken a couple model years to iron out, but you include the blue ringed roundel, and the blue i after the number and it’s pretty straightforward. That said, I very much appreciate BMWs approach to electric cars making them very similar to the ICE variants, unlike Mercedes hideous electric models.

If it looks like the new 7 series, they should just sell it with the camouflage.
