07 ford advance trac driving in normal conditions 20-40miles while stopping at a light or turning and just driving the traction control light comes on and it makes a lound grinding noise and it feels like theres no brakes its very scary the dealership is saying they cant find anything even after i video the problem. Has anyone else had this problem please i need help asap i have kids and this is scary.

06 Freestyle is doing same thing. Took it in they could not find problem with machine, but did order new ABS censor & had it replaced. Test 100.00 part 200.00. As I drove out of the lot the same thing happened, so made new appointment. This time I never shut the car off so the ABS light stayed on. They are now saying that it is further down the wiring harness. Every time it goes for test it's 100.00. If they keep replacing parts that are not gone it cost more money till they find the part that is gone. grrrrr

I dont really believe it is your ABS censor these vehicles had bad soldering joints in the instrument cluster main board from the factory which will make your vehicle act up in different ways ! My 2005 Ford Freestyle has that issue the check oil light and Emergency brake light will come on together on the dash thus making the turn signals not show up blinking in the instrument panel but outside the vehicle they are working normally but while those two lights are on in the panel my reverse lights are actually on while im going forward down the road ! Definitely should have been among lots of other major issues like the with the CVT transmissions in the 2005 - 2007 models as well but weren't because those recalls would have cost Ford Motor company hundreds of thousands of dollars and then they would have to need bailed out like the other major car companies !

It is the sensor. They crack. It's a little gear around the axle shaft. Mine did it, and guarantee that is the problem

You need to reset your tire sensor indicator by turning your key forward 3 times butnot cranking and then press braek once and turn it forward 3 more times not cranking and the horn will honk once, then take your tire valve magnet tool and hold near valve stem outside of front left tire valve and truck will honk once, go to front right and when it honks go to back right tire valve holding tool near valve (sensors are inside) and then to the back left = this should reset it and do away with the noise at night

The engine on my 07 Ford Escape xlt just died. I purchased the car less than 3 months ago, it only has 94000 miles on it. Oil was changed less than than a month.
Seen a lot of complaints about 07 Ford Escape,
Does anyone know if there is a recall or a way to fix this?

Im very scared to get near it and dont know what to do with my 2000 Ford Expedition. It makes clicking noises like blinker is on or wipers and at times goes real fast. I felt water droplets on me while driving and noticed that floors were wet front and back. The radio changes stations by itself or turns off. The a/c turns on or off or blows air hard when i turn engine off. If i tilt steering wheel lights flash on dash or the wiper light comes on and i hear clicking. Now if engine is On just few seconds but not driving it the engine made a loud scary noise like if metal hit metal hard might spark. Noticing its more severe when it rains. What can i do? Im affraid to get inside and turn it On. Air was blowing inside last night after i parked and turn off engine. I left it like that now i dont know if it went dead. My battery is only 3days old just bought it. I need help, ideas please.

My cousin has a 99 F350 SD that is having some of these problems. It turns out the metal around the top of the windshield is rusting and leaking down the roof supports and into the dash causing corrosion and electrical problems including shutting itself off whenever and wherever. So that is probably your problem,

John yes yes you were right!!! You mentioned rust. In order to take a real good look i went to buy a step stool because my Expedition is lifted and its hard for me to see. And yes, I saw rust and corrosion under the ski rack so when it rains the water must get inside. Makes my truck feel like its possessed when lights go on, 4X4 on and off on the fwy, radio went nuts too.Finally it never came back on until the rain season ended. Now im thinking it probably went out as a protection because wires were getting wet. Dangerous right. Anyways thank you for that suggestion i was sad thinking i had to put my truck to rest but i dont.She has a great engine after all these years.I still have so much fun driving it. Its all good right now but what will i do when it rains again? Im thinking of neatly sealing it myself with a can of that liquid rubber stuff.

if it does it when it is only going slow then it is a tube in the fuel system clogging a sensor making it lock up. Run premium, clean your throttle bottle and fuel system, change fuel filter

HELLO ALL..MAYBE SOMEONE CAN HELP..2006 ford escape 4 cyl auto with 155k on clock. when keys are removed from the ignition, most of the dummy lights stay on.jf j do not remove the fuse to the gauge cluster, the battery dies in two days or so. alternator was done. plugs were replaced. what could be causing this to happen? all connections to the computer on firewall were checked and also check this out, i unplugged that computer , all three plugs and the dash dummy lights still stay on....any advice will be appreciated/ thanks

Is your ignition switch good, if you have alot of keys on your key ring it tends to be too much weight for the switch to handle. If you have power to the radio with the key off it sounds like your ignition switch is bad

Just bought a 2015 Fiesta (with 6 gears) last Monday. I heard and felt it shift hard at 5-8 mph intervals. Also, found the car not starting on first attempt. The dealership said it would be good to step on the brake when you have a push button. I told him that it didn't have a button. Last night (5/3/15) I found grease all over the front hub caps. The salesman at Community in Mooresville sold me the car with a $1000 rebate (?). I hope this isn't a lemon. And, I hope I don't have to wait 1500 miles to get it fixed! I have Ford Focus estate mod 2002 engine 1.6 gasoline manual gear and need some help! So when i start a car in cold condition its all okay but when car gets warm then i drive for a while and from gear 2 when i press pedal gas and RPM goes to 3000 when i changed to gear 3 it takes by it self speed so i put in neutral with hoping gas will come low but rpm jumps to 5000 and no way to go in normal under 1000 so i shut the engine then i start again and straight jumps to 5000 rpm to come back in normal i need to press till end 7000 rpm pedal for a few seconds then comes in normal under 1000 rpm but this problems repites time by time what i should do in this case?? i have change new oil and all filters still im afraid to go to the service bcs here just to take money they will think a lot of other mistakes just to make them day paid off

Ford Taurus X 2009 bucks and misfires at speeds of 40-60 mph. Loses power! Intermittently usually when engine is warm. Sometimes does not do it at all when driving. However when you suddenly lose power when it acts up it becomes a safety hazard. Replaced transmission , motor mounts, axels, coil packs. 7,000 dollars! Camshaft issues??? Many blogs with same issue for this engine. Why had Ford not done a recall!!

I have a 2003 ford explorer xlt and ive been having problems with it starting. It turns over but when my boyfriend went to the part store they said it was the fuel pump. But they said that there was a button you hold that is a fuel reset button or somthing like that on the passenger side, then you turn the key to almost start 9 times til your truck restarts. You would think it wont happen again but it still is. Im so confused tired of problems is there a recall?
