This is good. In the near future it appears that there will be an electric home system, for the want of a better term, where the EV will be part of a solar and battery system that will feed/support or become independent of the grid depending on the dynamic nature of the grid at the time. AGL have big plans for products in this direction. I am currently planning to sell my AMG to tap into this at a point in the near future when these systems will be holistic. competitive and affordable - hopefully 2021-22.
"Kia Australia is consistently campaigning for greater availability of green vehicles – not limited to just EV" - corporate speak for "EV's will be the last possible product line we'll consider for Australia, if ever"
You quoted the wrong company, It’s Honda’s speech without “The Australian market is small”.
And it’s the Sorento PHEV. :)
Big middle finger on Honda again!
Fingers crossed - I'm definitely keen on one as a family hauler.
Well done to Kia for committing to bringing at least one EV to Australia in the new year.
I wonder if they will also be "offering subscription services, as well as electric car battery leases and rental programs."
The Koreans have so far done a great job with their EV's, with very good efficiency and range.
I can't wait to see what they can accomplish with a dedicated EV platform.
When it comes to EV/PHEV keep your eyes on Hyundai/KIA.
they want to destroy our weekends? LOL
Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid!
I just hope they don't just do SUV's and offer something like the Picanto, Rio or Cerato as an all electric car for the city.
