Thanks Laurent! Was "Trapped" really the first? I can't remember at all!
Damn, Trap beat me by about a week then, but as you can see from this reply I'm quite slow. ;)
Though I had "free" movement in both directions: https://csdb.dk/release/?id=22327 (2nd part)
Pretty sure I'd seen some even earlier version of this effect before I started coding mine, though.
Advertising my own group here a bit if you may: Phantasie by Beyond Force was released in january 1989 and it had a proper DXYCP effect, it was the first one that I saw. ( https://csdb.dk/release/?id=4132 )

Hello Raistlin,
I can only second what Mushanga wrote. Thanks a lot for your thorough explanations which are really enlightening. Please keep it up! And your demos as well 😜
Thanks Klaus! (sorry for the late reply...)
Thanks you so much for sharing your technics. Such blog is really missing on the web, and that's really fun and instructive to read ! watching demos is fun, reading some tech about them is even more juicy :)
Thanks, I'm glad you like it :-)
Thanks for sharing your tricks in such a detailed blog Raistlin !
I absolutely love DXYCPs since the first one I saw back in 1990 (in 'Trapped' by Success).
