The bible is a warning about human nature.

It really is the greatest book ever written. Part history, part philosophy, part literature, part theology, part holiness and part acquired wisdom of the ages.

Its as simple as this:
No bible, no enlightenment
No enlightenment, no Constitution
No Constitution, no USA
No USA, no Liberty
No Liberty, only darkness.

This is why Modern Progressive Liberals despise the Bible, Judaism, Christianity, the Constitution, the USA and Liberty.

Amen; great post! And the bible is timeless; read it with an open mind and you will be changed forever. In my opinion this is an excellent, excellent article by Mr. Pollack

Well stated.

Fake News is not a new phenomenon. Remember after we suffered the greatest violent act of jihad ever in the history of Islam on 9/11 when GWB, after being paid off by our archenemies, the Saudis, decided to let Islam and the Saudis off the hook for being the driving force behind the 9/11 violent acts of jihad by proclaiming Islam to be a so-called RELIGION OF PEACE and then declaring a fantasy-based WAR ON TERROR that was preordained to miserably fail no matter what, because we have never ever been at war with terror, but instead with the ideological force of Islam and all those that follow that ideological force of Islam, i.e., ALL MUSLIMS IN THE WORLD and with jihad.

Apparently, you are a creator of fake news or otherwise, you are addicted to fake news.

Joel, that is a great piece. Thank you.

Spare us the binary reality. The Religious Left is every bit as large as the Religious Right. Who exactly do you think is pushing mass immigration from the Third World? The churches, that's who. As for our Constitution, there is not a single mention of the Bible.

lookingwrite • 6 years ago

Throw away your religion, and seek him on your own, with the book of life.

Kris • 6 years ago

Ah... the institutional churches have sold God out for Ceasar's 30 pieces of silver per gimmigrant, refugee or migrant. You are correct.

Wolves in sheep clothing churches

Western civilization became the driving force of the world because of its grounding in Judeo-Christian principles.

The modern Left is attempting to replace God in the natural order of authority with government.

We must bow to the almighty government in all things according to Democrats. This is the Progressive agenda and why it must be defeated at all costs.

It's atheistic Communism in a new wrapper.

The Enlightenment came about because folks stopped believing in superstitions like religion, a rejection of blind obedience to an ancient doctrines.

No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace.

The age of enlightenment, or the age of reason brought about the idea of the separation of church and state, and liberal ideas of progress and tolerance.

RobL_v2 • 6 years ago

Is anyone here complaining about the separation of church and state?

Don't confuse Classical Liberalism with Modern Progressive Liberalism
Classical Liberalism:

Limited Constitutional Governance
Individual Liberty
Free Markets
Rule of law
National Sovereignty

Classical Liberalism is what we Conservatives seek to preserve and what Modern Progressive Liberalism seeks to destroy.

Rpaddy-not spam • 6 years ago

Most don't understand the difference.....

Cfour • 6 years ago

I'm all about all of those things as well. I was just remarking on the enlightenment bit. Admittedly I was off base, but in my opinion theocratic beliefs are the antithesis of enlightenment. The things that I rail against in politics are the rhetoric used to garner support for trickle down economic policies. The protection of citizens and the taxation of industries through regulations. The loss of representation of the citizens to the economic elite. Fear based rhetoric that has weakened our global position. I don't seek to destroy anything, I just want a world that seeks enlightenment.

RobL_v2 • 6 years ago

Yes i agree no one wants a theocracy but the USA has never been that.

By the way, you do realize that the phrase 'trickle down economics' is rhetoric... :)

Would you prefer "Horse and Sparrow" theory?

Liberals despise what they cannot control! They cannot control their arrogance, ignorance, or their mouths. Rebellious adolescents and poor losers.

I believe and I am not alone with this particular belief, that the stage is being set for the next dispensation in God's program for humanity. Israel finally will be the ruling nation with The Lord Jesus Christ among them as their king. But there are a few prophecies to be fulfilled before that time.

Times Up • 6 years ago

Well said, but more important than all; The Bible is God's Holy Word.

Smashingmyths • 6 years ago

I'm gonna call blatant BS on your first claim which in turn destroys all your other positions. Show me from the Bible (specific verses) which directly influenced the Enlightenment.

The Word of God. Modern progressive liberals shake their fists at it.

There were many sources poured through when developing the Constitution, the Bible was chief.

Norm • 6 years ago

"There were many sources poured through when developing the Constitution, the Bible was chief."

So were the excesses of former dictators and kings. The Constitution was written to confirm that some rights were God-given, not simply allowed by the governing class. There was good reason the Constitution was written as it was.

Oxymoron. Such a claim has no merit except to its members' confusion. God by definition is above mankind as also is Truth. Man did not create life.

No one equated one with the other, it was mentioned as a primary source. A man made document does not compare with God's word. I wouldn't say there is much in it against the Bible. More like it has some hard choices that had to be made for passage among different parties with similar foudations and fears but different priorities. The Bible itself records rather than shy away from these things because it is apart of being human in a fallen world. The good, the bad and the ugly.

nolotrippen • 6 years ago

He didn't do that at all. He gave a line of progression. It's obvious what he's saying if you'll read more and type less.
