I'm the last person to say anything good about John McCain. I despise him with a passion, he's a despicable person, he's not a conservative, and worst of all, he forced me to vote for a Democrat!
But, and I am cutting myself for saying this, I understood where he was going with the questioning! I got it! He was attacking Comey's judgement and his intent. And he was absolutely right in doing so. He was a little lacking in conviction once he caught himself going off course in his forming of the questions. I think being challenged by Comey made him more timid because he's aware of his age, and people like me questioning his faculties and his ability to perform his duties, he doubted himself and got lost. All the more reason he should resign and retire. But his intent, his challenge to Comey's judgement, was on target and I think the end result of the entire hearing proved it: Come is a liar, an opportunist, an attention-whore, an egomaniac, a leaker, and quite possibly a criminal.
And now, having defended John McCain, I will go to Syria and piss on every ISIS POS I can find until dead.(I pee a lot, it's a serious threat, believe me)

We do have term limits, it's called voting people out of office.

With imposed term limits, the establishment would simply have a stable or bench of potential candidates and would "honey pot" smear or buy other candidates even at the local city council, mayor, Chamber of Commerce, school colmmittee, governor level before they even had started their political career.

All politics is local. Start there, and keep it there.

Most know our Federal government needs term limits to get rid of parasites that take up space long after their usefulness. In our Congress the elected have made sure the rules of elections keep them in office unless they get jailed. And uninformed voters keep them there.
But old farts hanging on forever are as much of a problem IMHO.
These old folks that seem to love the pampered life style they have and their sense of superiority over the common folk. And foolish voters keep them there.
If 65 or 67 is the age of retirement for SS why keep old folks running our lives?
I'm 78, and know how age effects ones ability to perform as we age. Why do we allow anyone over 70 years to be in charge? Go home, enjoy the fruits of your labor. Let younger fresher minds have a chance.

I'm NO fan of McBain. But, despite him being at sea, at the least...he has a point here. Comey clearing Hilde of possible felonies, yet going after POTUS for nothing.

He didn't state that very well at all. They are so used to speaking gobbledegoop that they can put together a coherent sentence.

Comey asserted that evidence of Russian involvement in our elections was unequivocal. I gathered from his testimony that he meant not only the 2016 presidential election but other elections past and future. That sometimes Russian interest are best served by democrats and other times republicans and in any event just to disrupt our election process.
I kind of thought that McCain's point was that Hillary campaign should be investigated just as Trump's campaign is being investigated. But Comey kept circling back to say that Hillary's e-mail investigation was complete. I believe there has been suspicious interaction between the Clinton's and the Russians such as the uranium deal.
