So the FBI is still spying on President Trump.

Pandyrama • 1 year ago

January 6th will look like a girl scout meeting if they keep this BS up.

Karen from outstate • 1 year ago

It is going to get worse. they are desperate. Trump came out and said he will eliminate agencies-jobs, power, money. And the deep state is inflamed and on the warpath.

Deplorable Domer '79 • 1 year ago

They took out Kennedy for a lot less

D T • 1 year ago

Do you like that?

StandUp • 1 year ago

Or, maybe, and hear me out - Trump took documents he shouldn't have and wouldn't give them back for reasons we don't know. It sure seems like the gov't asked for them back and he never delivered them.

Playcard2U • 1 year ago

We've already had it reported that President Trump did not personally fill those boxes. So who did fill the boxes? Names. We want the names!

David Michael Ellis • 1 year ago

GSA. General Services Administration. They packed and delivered all the property from the WH residence and the Oval Office, and Melanias Office.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

Maybe Trump is working a reverse sting operation against the deep state, which they just fell for and now the declassified docs will see the light of day in a court making it hard for the deep state to suppress them to the public.

santashandler • 1 year ago

By definition, classified docs (if that's what they are) will never "see the light of day" in court. They will either have to be declassified, or everyone in court given a TS-SCI clearance.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

You missed the part about Trump having already declassifying them when he was President. The President has the authority unilaterally to declassify documents. No one has to vote or agree with POTUS.

santashandler • 1 year ago

Yes, but, the FBI is still claiming they are classified. My comment was based on that. I'm confident Trump declassified them and weren't at all classified.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

The FBI doesn't get to say what is classified or not. Trump ordered them declassified. But either way, you can't keep him off the ballot.. They won't be able to get a conviction.

pitman • 1 year ago

Even with a conviction, he can't be kept off the ballot -- the US Constitution's requirements for running for POTUS trump any further restrictions Congress might enact.

santashandler • 1 year ago

Agree, but they were able to take the docs nonetheless. Who's stopping them? They won't get a conviction, because there's nothing to charge him with. If the documents were classified, as the FBI says, then that means whoever handled, transported and stored them, is in serious violation, as they more than likely do not have the clearance to be near such material. That is a serious offense! If the documents were classified, every single agent would have been required to get the exact same clearance Trump had BEFORE the raid. And that would have taken months to complete. Suffice to say, if they are classified, all involved should be charged. If the documents, are not classified, then Trump won't or can't be charged, and this is nothing more than Stasi tactics!

TheIrkedNativeTexan • 1 year ago

Here, allow the New York Times to clear things up for you.
https://www.nytimes.com/202...

Pandyrama • 1 year ago

Baahahhaw! He litterally referenced the NY Times to "clear things up"

Jaybird • 1 year ago

I hear Obama just today declassified everything from his administration,so now Hillary is in the clear isn't she?

changemymind • 1 year ago

Then surely someone can produce the order that Trump issued declassifying all the documents. Where is it?

Time's Up • 1 year ago

I anvery sure we'll get there. The opposition is ignoring that for now.

changemymind • 1 year ago

You actually think there will be a document produced that was created before January 20th that says that all those documents were declassified? Or even that "this is a standing order that anything I take with me to Mar-a-Lago today is to be considered declassified"?

Time's Up • 1 year ago

Yes, Once the president says a document is declassified, it is declassified. It doesn't require a government employee to do anything or approve it.

Jaybird • 1 year ago

It's with that order for troops on Jan 6th I hear.

Jaybird • 1 year ago

And if that's true it will be easy to prove because there's a documented process to be followed. Trump would of course know this because he followed the process for previous documents?

MikeP0822 • 1 year ago

So what you are saying is the FBI planted these documents in Mar Lago while Trump was president, then Trump declassified them?

Time's Up • 1 year ago

Surely you are more intelligent than that.

Christine Sonntag • 1 year ago

I'm just going ahead and blocking mikey. Lots of lefty bots showing up on this article.

No kidding

They just picked up where Pelosi and Schiff failed.

JKealar82 • 1 year ago

Not Sensitive Compartmentalized Information. The law clearly states he cannot.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

The law van say anything it wants. The Constitution enumerates what is required to be President. Our founding fathers set it this way to protect people from this exact type of tactic. Under your scenario the house does not share power with the other 2 branches as it gets to make all the rules and can legislate who is eligible for office. The Constitution lays that out not a law passed by Congress.

GozieBoy • 1 year ago

He says he did, because he heard that presidents can do that. BUT, you have to do it properly with forms and paper trail. Sounds like there might be a little revisionism on the part of Trump. We may hear, "Nobody told me I had to do any paperwork...".

Time's Up • 1 year ago

We'll see

Robert Suther ✓ • 1 year ago

Not true. This isn't their first rodeo

GozieBoy • 1 year ago

But it was Trump's.

MikeP0822 • 1 year ago

But the documents were planted, how were they declassified?

Jimmy kinder • 1 year ago

On the other hand, maybe he really hid top secret documents in order to camouflage his crimes.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

Apparently the docs were declassified by Trump so there are no classified docs. Of course there is the other minor problem for the left, the GSA packed them. He didn't take them.

Robert Suther ✓ • 1 year ago

Of course only trumpies believe he can just wave a wand and make them unclassified. There's a process. Did he follow it?

David maley • 1 year ago

Explain Sandy Berger stuffing documents in his socks you fing hack

he was fined and sentenced to two years of probation plus community service

Robert Suther ✓ • 1 year ago

Can't wait until trump drinks his own cloudy water ......

AmericanOil • 1 year ago

Us Trumpies are just waiting for the evidence that he took classified documents , We believe in Innocent Until Proven Guilty .The DOJ made the accusations now let's see if they can prove it .

changemymind • 1 year ago

But the DOJ was at Mar-a-Lago months ago asking for the documents and Trump's own lawyers signed a document saying that no documents "marked classified" were at Mar-a-Lago.

It's not an issue of whether Trump packed them or not, they were at his home and he had been specifically asked to hand them over many times. And his lawyers lied about them being there.

Can you imagine being caught with a stash of materials that are important to the security of America in your house? How do you think your response of, "hey, I didn't pack those boxes, I don't know how those documents that I was arguing a few months ago belonged to me and not the people of the United States got there. Yes, I know you came by months ago looking for more documents after I was forced to admit that I had boxes of them previously, but I swore I had handed them all over. The fact that you just found 14 more boxes of them, well it's not my fault."

Yeah, that would go over great.

Time's Up • 1 year ago

If the document has been declassified, then it's no longer classified, which is the reason the lawyers answered in the manner they answered.

norman blanchette • 1 year ago

That’s a bunch of crap your spewing. You have no idea what your talking about. We don’t know what they were really looking for and we really don’t know what they found. In the coming weeks we will all know more. We needs to see the affidavit to know what they went in there to find. Trump wouldn't be the first president to have classified material in his possession after leaving the White House. This happens all the time.

Have you forgotten Hillary Clinton. Did you forget she had a home brew server that had over 100 top secret emails on them. Did you forget she deleted over 30 thousands emails. Did you forget her lawyers smashed their phones with hammers. Did you forget IT experts said it was likely hacked by at least 4 foreign governments. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.

Do you remember at the time you were saying it’s no big deal, nothing to see here. You may have forgotten but millions of Americans like myself haven’t forgotten. We expect Trump to get the same treatment that Hillary got. Anything else exposes the deep state and shows us what’s really going on.

changemymind • 1 year ago

The same treatment that Hillary got? Ok, let Trump testify under oath on live televison for 5 hours. Then see where we go from there.

Chipsie • 1 year ago

Regarding "Can you imagine being caught with a stash of materials that are important to the security of America in your house?", give us a break. Obama has 30 million documents and every President of the United States has the right to his documents and to classify or declassify as he see fit. Very sad you would support this kind of tyranny of ANY American citizen, let alone a President of the United States. To dislike a President is one thing, but to route for the destruction of your country and the Constitutional rights of its people , if in fact you are an American, is pathetic and truly stupid.
