I run adwcleaner after installing new apps/web browser extensions that I haven't tested before, just to make sure that nothing dodgy was installed alongside. The great thing is it does it really fast as well so perfect for running on friends computers when they're acting up. Great results in seconds. I've been using it for many years and it has never caused me problems.

I could not remove it until I reinstalled it and saw a small box with removal.
Also it was supposed to be portable from my download link.

Virustotal says 2 different engines find malware in version 7.4.2

Never download the version of this (or ANY software) from BleepingComputer. Get the latest version directly from the original author. BC should remove *ALL* downloads. Just have the links to the actual site's download.

7.4.1 has crashed on every computer I have tried it on. 3 so far.

7.2.3.1 same as 7.2.3. - the basic repair option (seen when nothing is found) causes appcrash in my Windows 7. It works in 7.2.2.

Unless you have some special Windows-only program you need, you should switch from unsupported Windows XP to Linux. Then you have a modern up to date secure operating system and also don't need programs like adwcleaner. Linux Mint XFCE runs well on a P4 with 1GB RAM. If you have less than a GB or RAM, Lubuntu is a better option.

Good little cleaner to alternate with Roguekiller but is a tiny trace of iobit portable (ini settings and nothing more as far as I'm aware) REALLY an infection/malware? Also 7.0.8 got stuck cleaning some pupware so I had to use 6021 followed by 705.

Have you found it? Uninstaller program may help. There's so many uninstaller software. I'm using Revo uninstaller and help me remove some adware + leftover files that can't deleted in default uninstaller. And, does 'that' software still distract you?

For some reason Adwcleaner wants to delete the chrome.7z taken from a Chrome installation. Weirdly, it doesn't when I change it's name to chrom.7z.

Ransomwares usually change windows policies and sometimes delete windows restore points. Adwcleaner doesn't remove all remnants. Some of these remnants are in the windows services where some the infection modified. It has to be removed manually. I had to train my team to do so, tools are great but it was made by ppl as well.

I have all the files in a folder that have the b2b9 file type, but i don't know how to convert them back.

You'd need a decryption tool of some sort. Bleeping Computers have a forum section dedicated to this. However not every file has a decryption, just to avoid building your hopes up.

I am giving you a small information regarding performance of Adware Toolslib, After takeover of this software by malwarebytes from when that time to now the performance of adware is very poor, it cann't detect any adware. I think malwarebytes changed their algorithm and programming why iam saying this after completed adware scan i used adware removal tool by TSA it detect so many errors in my system but adware detect nothing not only this one so many situations i was faced, and i can explained.Iam not a recent user I am using this software(adware(toolslib)) from more than one year but recent days it can't findout nothing and finally I removed this software.
