Agreed. I work in a very rural mid-western hospital and we charge $950 for a CT head w/o contrast. That's 3x what is listed in this article. And we are on the cheap end compared to other places around here.

I had a friend who went to the ER for a cut on his middle finger. They sewed it up. The charge was $3200.
