Based on title and sypnosis, is this Iron blooded sword hound from Wish?
its better in my opinion one of the few manhwas on this site with a unique artstyle
That's what I thought
this better
I think its better
sidenote if you search up IBSH novel spoilers the people who read the story say it apparently falls off a clif
I would've ranked this higher but IBSH is finally giving the MC some character development so IBSH they might be on par now
This is one of the best manwhas on this site
Is it worth it?
Yes
Review of chap 1-34
Premise: Read the synopsis.
Story: Too early to say as of now but so far its the MC abusing past life knowledge but its actually balanced. The MC isn't op and has to be smart to not get killed. As of chapt 34 he has already failed one of his plans once so I don't think it'll be a cliche "story and plot and future knowledge handholds the MC into being an OP badass". He also has a family to return to and a revenge to carry out so it'll be interesting to see how he handles and balances both goals. Every smart character (theres already like 6 by chapt 30) is on a knife’s edge (including the villain) and are plotting and manipulating each other to get ahead. So far so good but to early to tell. I'm a tad concerned about the romance aspect but that includes spoilers (explanation:
Art: Very good. A nice change of pace from the standard artstyle of manhwa and manga. some people don’t like the eyes but I think it makes all the characters look more snakelike and vicious which fits the setting and story. 9/10 It aint the best but its damn near close considering the norm for manga/manhwa nowadays.
Characters: Once again too early to tell but there are some hints to go off of. The MC is an OP character but not really the cliche know it all MC from the future. Theres one annoying prick (Spoiler:
Setting: As of chapt 34 there has only been one place the MC has been. The setting is pretty good but nothing especially memorable. Hopefully we'll see more of the kingdom the story takes place in soon. But as of now we don't really have much to go off since the world currently is just a non-descript training camp in some hidden forest (its not as bland as how im phrasing it I just want to avoid spoiling as much as I can). There is another cool place the MC visits as part of the training and one of the characters adds some worldbuilding but its not much. 7/10
Overall Great. I've being sort of vague to not spoil anything outside the synopsis but its definetly worth a read. The MC is vunerable and so far isn't an OP know-it-all if thats what your fearing. He is a genius but hes still having a hard time since the world around him is so oppressive. Potentially peak.
oof, I'm a sucker for enemy rival-love interests! Thanks for the heads up man
Yan isn’t doing this for absolutely no reason tho.
The thing is that Yan cannot let Lorena die there because Spoilers:
and because on the way to the 2nd test the group Lorena, cruel, Yan and another girl named Charl end up runnin into a bunch at least 24 Armenian rebels plus a mercenary and Yan has to have Lorena there so he can have her clear out a part of the train so he can deal with less people. He knows she will go along with his plan because Lorena really really hates the Armenian rebels with a burning passion
Like her hatred of the rebels goes to the point she signs up for the dragon soldier project and she is and quote “ecstatic” that the rebels show up instead of her having to dig them out and she doesn’t even question how Yan knows they are rebels
ah that makes more sense ty
Np
It's a good series, certainly not worth going bananas like the other guys say. But it's not trash.
Good if u ignore the art that might unappealing to some
The art is beautiful
A really good regression manwha, the story and art style are really unique, you'll see what I mean if you read the end of the first chapter
"Whether to seek revenge on the emperor or to find his family. The choice lay in his hands."
Do both, duh.
Doing both is very hard cause Yan has to get ridiculously powerful to actually have a shot at beating the emperor also he has to stop a major rebellion that nearly destroyed the continent and maybe crush a few other factions along the way
Do you really think he'll find his family and "THE END"? Or do you really think he'll fight the emperor and then "THE END" without finding his family?
So he'll do both anyways... He may find his family, house them safely and then come back for revenge. Or he may get stronger and take revenge and then find his family...
I mean I have read some ch of the novel haven’t finished cause
So he is preparing just in case for a fight with the emperor but the thing is he has convinced himself that he has settled the score w/ the emperor but deep down he knows he will only get closure after he confronts the emperor one last time.
That’s just the Armenian rebels and the emperor (nearly the entire empire supports him also when referring to the emperor I mean Leon)
he still has to worry about the other enemies of the empire
🤯 ouch, too much detail
But thank you for taking the time to share, it made for an interesting read 🤩
Ok probably shouldn’t have shared that much especially with the sword and barbarians but thankfully I’m not too far ahead but my point still stands
the way it’s going now makes it seem that at the very least he will confront the emperor one last time especially if Yan manages to claim Ascalon with the symbolism going through the roof ie. the dragon slayer sword slays the dragon of the empire who has the dragon body uses the divine dragon vision and wields the dragon sword
Also another name for the emperor (when he was crown prince) that was skipped over during one of the ch of the manhwa is the reincarnation of the first emperor(because he was a genius in martial arts). The first emperor was called the dragon-man
Edit I just read a new ch
What does "regression instinct" even mean? Like somebody scaring you and you instinctively regress or what
idk how authors manage to make a story thats a thousands of page long but a bad title like most of the time its just describing the story or just not even making sense
good I also like the art it's very unique
The art is so uniquely good. It reminds me of an obscure hard ass 2010 jrpg.
I remember when it dropped with 6 short af chapters i had nothing to read so i hoped on its actually really good only thing i dont like is the fact that its short
Not bad, read it.
It's pretty good, actually
novel is better
Manhwa omitted a lot of key but minor details
Also if you don’t mind me asking how many ch of the novel have you read?
The chapters are so fucking short wtf
there is literally nothing in the last chapters
Finally the comments are back
its really good ...9/10👌
art is unique ,
story and plot are good ,
mc is not edgy ,
female characters are not just for fan service or love interest,
has funny elements too...
underrated🤌
it was a better read than I expected
Its worth to try
sooooooooooooooooo... before i get started on this, is this just a spoof of Revenge of the Iron-Blooded Sword Hound, or is it actually worth the time?
I read afew chapter and no it isnt
thanks for taking the time to answer... to clarify: it isn't a spoof or it isn't worth the time?
It Is one of the best stories here
Here we go again
This seres does not deserve a 9.1 at all this is a solid 9.8, id consider a 9.9 but not enough chapters, art is unique and enjoyable story’s been a 10/10 so far.
