Thank Christ. Anything to derail this living nightmare.

I guess I'll be contrary, this is no big deal except we lost a potential trade piece...for now. Ahmed was way overachieving hitting recently and was on the way back down. I hate losing a piece of a team that is doing well, but like Blanco/Fuentes have proven, it's next man up and let's see what Marte can do? By the way, Owings has a better WAR and apparently his errors stick out more than his career high of home runs less than halfway through the season.

Yeah he is over achieving but so is the whole team and he is a big part of it.. Hey I have time on my hands again so I will finally make it out there.. I know, it's about time..

Atta boy, great atmosphere these days.

Man this stinks, I truly felt Nick was starting to make that leap.. How many rally's have we had with him getting a clutch hit or an incredible stop preventing a run..
Ya know it really depends on the fracture.. Shoot I fractured my wrist and only missed 2 games while playing QB in high school.. I hope it isn't that serious.. He had become an integral rotation player, and once his bat arrives, he will be an every game player.. Reminds me of CO in 15..

I think the Dbacks will miss Nick's fiestiness in the clubhouse. Between Drury and Ahmed, the Dbacks liked to claw and scratch for hits and wins. These 2 guys are winners and would run through a brick wall if it meant a WS ring. I liked Nick's improvement in hitting. He's really got his game going. This could be a minor injury but they might want to be conservative with it and want it to heal and slowly recuperate. I will miss Nick's daily contribution to the Team.

He'll still be in the clubhouse while rehabbing.

Dammit.
His bat's been a little better lately, but there's no replacement for his ridiculous short stop skills.
Hope he's okay.

This one is going to sting. Besides losing his glove at short, it restricts Tori's ability to use Owings in right...so while waiting for A.J. and Tomas to get back into the lineup, he's really restricted in cycling people into the outfield. A real buzz kill after such a great win. But who knows, after this they might go into a 15 game win streak, that's the way they've gone this year.

I disagree. Like mentioned below, Marte probably comes up as he's owned the minors this year. I'm afraid he's a 4-A guy, but gotta find out. He's not good defensively.

I hear ya, like when AJ went down this could be the exact same thing. Maybe there is a player in the minor leagues waiting for his turn. I am an Ahmed fan for sure, I hope he comes back in a couple weeks.

Ketel Marte?
