So people who bought the $1,000 plus phone lost their money. no replacemt unit. who in their right mind will buy a Pixel phone again? I will stop buying Google products. I will look for a more responsible vendor.

Every OEM falls back to the refurb inventory to support warranty claims. Even if the P4 wasn't discontinued, a user would likely get a refurbed device anyway, so nothing changes from a support perspective.

My ex-wife used to work for AT&T Warranty Replacement. Replacement phones are ALWAYS refurbs.

There's usually "reserve inventory" for such a case.

Otherwise there will be refurbished models. I got my Pixel 2 XL replaced a couple of months ago by Google.

A nice way of saying the Pixel 4 and 4XL were losers and we had to get rid of them.

Nope, just working with limited manufacturing capacity. Or is iPhone 12 going to be late just because iPhone 11 is selling so well? Not everything is a retarded narrative.

ssallen • 3 years ago

Ugh, maybe no one noticed there is a worldwide pandemic going on that has seriously f-d up manufacturing? The new iPhone is going to be delayed because of it. If Apple has to delay their next phone why would Google order another run on Pixel 4 devices that is just going to further slow down both Pixel 4a and Pixel 5?
Quit making a retarded narrative out of everything.

Bunch of lies, the Phones are not discontinued yet, these have issue with suppliers have you not even contacted Google about this? Mine on back order and will ship when is stock for the 4XL .

I have a Pixel4. It is by far the worst phone I have ever had. I've moved from Windows phone at the end of life. Friends and co-workers with other Android phones try and help me with some of my frustrations and find settings and features that are on Samsung and Sony phones are simply not there on the P.ixel
