You are somewhat confounding the vulnerability and exploit with a particular payload / attack. The case I've seen used the same exploit template (URL, Referrer) but a different payload. The payload also ultimately downloaded some kind of paste-bin specific malware, but in this case, seemed to be bitcoin mining, self-replicating malware that was botnet controlled.
