Thanks for doing this. I set it up last night and found ALL the tricky spots!

Cassie - cool! Glad you enjoyed it. Any chance you took video to share??

Thanks Steve!

Steve, Thanks for all your work posting these. I am a newbie at this just starting to train my first agility dog. I have a lot to learn, I don't understand much of what you are talking about yet but love all the resources you have posted on your site. I am a fan. We will be lifting Meeker & you up in prayer as you go thru this. Thanks again

James - glad you found AgilityNerd and are enjoying it. With time and practice it will all make sense! Thank you for thinking of Meeker!

Just one observation from the peanut gallery. On Flyers run you said "Tunnel" when he was already in the tunnel, about half way through it. One thing I've learned with Strut, these dogs need information way earlier than a "different" breed. Great course though. Thanks! Wish I had an aframe of my very own! ;)

Thanks "peanut" ;) I think I could have said "aardvark" and he still would have taken the tunnel... he's not a real verbal kind of guy so far - so it didn't seem to matter to him in this case. Though it may have helped in some of the other cases.

The arm "shake" at my side and his name are my "snookery" cues to get him past things (really need a name for that - Jenny Damm does the leg slap) and then all my other cues were supporting the tunnel. Although with my late jump wrap cue he had to come around me and probably didn't see the tunnel until the last second - so a tunnel verbal could have helped him look for it.

Normally my handling is more together than in this video - but Meeker has been more important lately that getting practice. Hey, but I always let folks see the good and the bad!

And yes I agree. Your handling is usually more together. Meeker is more important right now. I totally get that! Give him a hug for me!

And that's what we love about you, Steve. The good and the bad! :)
You use the arm shake with him and Meeker too I suppose. I use the "two hand Ruby-Ruby-Ruby!" We def need a name for this! LOL!

I learned the arm shake/dog's name from Silas and he'll do it with only a very little eye contact and move himself and his dog through small gaps. I've found it works because then I don't rotate my shoulders while looking at my dog and accidentally cue the obstacle(s) you are moving past.

I usually call it "nagging" but that isn't catchy enough!
