The old logo looked a bit too old so it needed a redesign but I don't really like the new one either. I think we'll all get used to it soon though so no need to be upset

Icon is fine, don't really hate it. What I don't like is the search being moved to the bottom. All of Google's apps just started to finalize and move search to the top of the app. Why all of a sudden is search now at the bottom? This makes absolutely no sense at all. Please get someone to create some UI consistency at Google, it is sorely needed!

Yup. Including browsers. A device app UI should be minimizing the amount of hand motion you need to do in order to accomplish basic tasks. There's no reason to have the URL/search bar of a browser at the top on a phone other than that's just the way we did it in the past with computers.

Or you can put a search button at the bottom to access the URL.

Hey quick question, did the Maps heat map feature make it to the iOS app? I just updated it on my iPhone Xs and can't find it anywhere, even though I can see it in the screenshots in the iOS app store for the app..

Google Drive Sync ? I don't really get what you want

I want all of my photos to backup to automatically to drive like they used to, then when drive syncs to my desktop I have a hard copy of everything, like I used to. Perhaps you weren't aware that this functionality was removed almost a year ago, under the premise that it was "confusing to it's users". I don't even care if I have to pay twice for the drive storage.

That only works for stuff stored in Google drive. Since an update last year, Google photos are no longer stored in Google drive

Totally - considering how they are not syncing back ANYTHING TO EXIF. At this point - I am getting worried - They need to be majorly shamed for not pushing end user changes back into the EXIF files for both source and modified versions.
