Re Vance Woodward ruling: this proves that for some judges procedural details trump justice. And to bill Woodward? I hope Woodward is successful in further appeals. For Scientology to be protected by SLAPP is so counter to the intent of the law that it is obscene.

Maybe that same judge would reason that a person with lung cancer could not sue a major cigarette company because the victim was bullying the perpetrator. And then make the victim pay the cigarette company for court costs. That would make about as much sense.

This is so true when you are working with influencing the government( which just declared recently corporations are just like people, when directly funding the influence of legislation) The same has been true forever in the legal system. If you have the budget to hire a team or even one expensive good lawyer you can walk from overt criminality. I had a wealthy buddy who had his license suspended for his first DUI,when his court appointed lawyer said it would be best to plead guilty and pay the fine. Well in Washington State which had at the time one of the toughest driving under the influence laws he got 3 more in the next ten years. The next three he had the money to pay high price lawyers to get him off. One time he had a .32 blood alcohol level, another.36. Most people would be dead or severely impaired like he was. But his lawyers got him off on technicalities the last three. After his third,"victory" his parents and some good friends did an invention. With his unlimited budget and walking out of two treatment centers he remained sober until getting hooked on Oxycontin five years later and spending 360 grand in 3 years before he stopped. He probably wouldn't have stopped but he woke up on the floor one night after binging on snorting 880 milligrams of Oxy on a binge in one day starting when he woke up. He checked himself into treatment the next day. having lots of money easily amplifies your problems. Scientology was born evil and like its bank account it just gets more evil.

What makes it difficult to get rid of scientology, even after you leave is the fact that they make you believe from the beginning that by criticizing scientology you are actually harming yourself and your fellow beings . That is the glue, that is the thought stopper. One you stupid if you hurt yourself and two a criminal for hurting other people. And nobody wants to be guilty of either crime. Not sure if that is actually true, you step aside you keep quite and to yourself for a while or for a long time, sometimes for a lifetime and let scientology run rampant because scientology knows best. You continue to be trapped by your own thoughts, Till you realize that by observing the flows and the lies of the cult, is not true that you harming anybody except the cult itself, then you can have your own opinion in the issue without feeling guilty. I saw it in myself and in other people too. Thank god scientology no longer has altitude in my way of thinking. And this website has got a lot to do with it. So thank you to Mr. Tony O. and all the commenters in this site, the veil fell off.
