I loved In Farleigh Field. You captured the spirit and struggle of WWII and made it very real. Thanks so much for posting this. I can also recommend James R Benn's Billy Boyle series. They are meticulously researched and great historic fiction mysteries.

I'm familiar with several of these books. But for new authors, I urge you caution. It is very tempting to read so many books about writing that you never get around to writing. (I did this successfully for many years!) So I will suggest paring it down to just two books: Stephen King on Writing and Blake Snyder Save the Cat. Snyder's book is mostly about screenwriting, so you could also consider Save the Cat Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody.

Yeah, and Pebble still can't figure out how to calculate average hours slept or average steps taken properly. Hint: if you're only 4 days into the current week, don't divide by 7. Maybe you guys want to look into that.

Actually, I think Sun's issues were more fundamental. It did not help that they were confused about Java. But they also lacked the ability to develop and grow any new business. Their core server business was disrupted by Intel / Linux and as a result their financials were concentrated on high-end, high-margin customers in premium markets like Financial Services and Telco. When the economy pulled back and large customers postponed their purchases, Sun's losses were substantial. And unfortunately, their products were less and less competitive, especially as schedules slipped with new servers and processors. There was a lot of wishful thinking, but little in the way of concrete strategy or product plans to reverse the decline.

Great review, thanks. Technically I think the area of the G1x sensor is 6x the size of the G12. Would love to know how the G1x performs in a concert situation for photos and video. I have a G9 I love but want to see how the G1x works.

Anyone have any experience with the X10 in concert photos or video? I have been using a Canon G9 for a few years and love it, but in low light it's not great and you get a lot of noise at high ISOs. Would love to get an opinion as to how the X10 would compare to these typical concert photos and videos:
