Tone deaf. The director managed to pull a collection of awful performances out of a top-notch cast. The dialogue was written and delivered with a tin ear. The story never amounted to anything and despite trying really hard, never actually seemed to have anything to say. The only good thing I can say about the film is that the cinematography was pretty---though it rarely served the narrative.

Bone Tomahawk is a truly awful film. One of the worst pieces of direction I saw all year.

The gifting issue is one of Shopify's few flaws, I'm afraid. Every time someone tries to amend that, we get excited :) So far, no one's come up a winner :(

Well dang it. FWIW, Gift Wizard is a very poor choice for anyone who ships physical product and does more than a handful of gifted orders. Gift Wizard requires you to manually input the recipient's shipping address, rendering it beyond useless for anyone who does large volume sales.

Having just listened to her read the story (again), I just wanted to stop by and remark on how smack-down awesome the Misfit's final dialogue with the grandmother is. It never gets old. It's perfect. In my dreams, Joel and Ethan Coen make short film versions of all her stories.

The marketing campaign is what failed John Carter. It was a great movie that could easily have been a huge blockbuster (and it will certainly find it's legs on DVD--not that its $300 million take so far is that bad). There's really no one to hold accountable when Disney so clearly wasn't interested in helping it succeed. The crew and cast at least need to be consoled and congratulated. They made a fabulous and original piece of cinema and were utterly betrayed by their own parent company.

Definitely go for a visit. There's a museum in the orphanage (replica) that's fascinating.
