Did you notice that the total count of comments is not displayed in the "main page" (next to the tags)? Glitch?

I also think that the multiple pages are a step in the wrong direction. And the threadding ... well it looks like a comments-list that is trying to be a forum while also being a comments-list. So I'd suggest you get back to plain simple comments and install a separate forum, if you have to. But this kind of makes little sense.

Oh, and AJAX sucks. I have Plug-ins (mainly this is flash) and Java deactivated and would also like to switch off JS, but due to the huge amount of pages that use JS to achieve what beatiful CSS design could do equally well (if not better), I have to keep JS active. It's a shame, that you are not setting a good example. I mean, this IS a page for geeks, and geeks usually don't require this kind of foo.

P.S.: Obviously, Opera wins if compared to any other browser in existence. Especially, xmonad users, used to doing everything with the keyboard, will appreciate Operas-keyboard-only interface (except in flash or java apps).

@Trollhorn: That is not true. The first Ariane V flight ended in a catastrophy (at least there were no human casualties) that led to the self destruct of the rocket. The cause was an overflow exception of an integer value for wich nobody cared to implement a catch (no, I'm not going to stress, it was written in Ada - no sir).

Actually, the compiler reading Word documents is not that far fetched. The D compiler, for instance, can read xhtml pages and extract blocks. The pointer explanation was hard to top, but that's not an excuse for Ross! A+ Salvatore :)

@etb, that xkcd interface is (besides the reasons MyValdez already pointed out) not accessible for impaired people (either technically or physically). Sometimes I use lynx myself - which is an obvious bad choice to read webcomics - but a good choice to read websites if you only have a terminal (except these websites use asshole-javascript, asshole-flash or even worse asshole-java).

Bob (the actual Bob - not his son) has lost his mug. Isn't that sort of a dismembering?
And there is another glitch: you cannot say "AWWWWWWWW" and smile (mouth closed) at the same time. It's just not possible. Anyway, I'm criticising at a high level, I don't have to tell you that I love GHC (and I also don't get tired of that "GHC" pun^^).

@Salvatore: I think Annies (nonspeaking/smiling) mouth is a bit too low, which looks quite strange. Also, apart from the fact that she has lips (which usually indicate females) and pigtails, she does not differ from her male colleagues. :)
