Glitch?

I also think that the multiple pages are a step in the wrong direction. And the threadding ... well it looks like a comments-list that is trying to be a forum while also being a comments-list. So I'd suggest you get back to plain simple comments and install a separate forum, if you have to. But this kind of makes little sense.

Oh, and AJAX sucks. I have Plug-ins (mainly this is flash) and Java deactivated and would also like to switch off JS, but due to the huge amount of pages that use JS to achieve what beatiful CSS design could do equally well (if not better), I have to keep JS active. It's a shame, that you are not setting a good example. I mean, this IS a page for geeks, and geeks usually don't require this kind of foo.

Re: Technobabble Contest | Geek Hero Comic - A webcomic for geeks

Nice one, Salvatore. The first Ariane V flight ended in a catastrophy (at least there were no human casualties) that led to the self destruct of the rocket. The cause was an overflow exception of an integer value for wich nobody cared to implement a catch (no, I'm not going to stress, it was written in Ada - no sir).

Re: Coding School with Prof. Ross

Dang - the software ate up my "langle code rangle" and actually inserted a code-block. The D compiler, for instance, can read xhtml pages and extract
blocks.

The pointer explanation was hard to top, but that's not an excuse for Ross!
A+ Salvatore :)

Re: Project Management Explained

@etb, that xkcd interface is (besides the reasons MyValdez already pointed out) not accessible for impaired people (either technically or physically). Sometimes I use lynx myself - which is an obvious bad choice to read webcomics - but a good choice to read websites if you only have a terminal (except these websites use asshole-javascript, asshole-flash or even worse asshole-java).

Re: Vladimir’s wig

@Salvatore: Last time I checked, e was real ;)
(what you mean is e^(i*pi) = -1)

@etb: okay, I bid sqrt(-1)+pi.
