If we're calling evolution a belief rather than one of the most widely studied, verified, and accepted scientific concepts, it's easier for people to frame it in opposition to their religious "beliefs." We should speak of it the way we speak of gravity, or that germs cause disease. Evolution, whether you "believe" in it or not, is a process that has happened for millions of years and will continue to happen in all corners of the ecosystem regardless of the creeds of any religion, party affiliation, or any other made-up social groups that we can divide ourselves with.

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win a limited edition Sonos Play:3 and ZoneBridge, courtesy of Sonos!

Yes please.

Re: Next Xbox console to be six times more powerful, headed for fall 2013 release?

I totally agree with you, but when I read his post I thought about the expansion pack for the N64. If Microsoft made an xbox that had components that could be easily plugged in or swapped out, they could issue upgraded pieces in the future and control the quality and support for each piece.

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win one of five Nokia Lumia 710s on T-Mobile, courtesy of Nokia!

Pick me!

Re: Engadget's Holiday Blues-buster 2011: win an iPad 2 16GB WiFi, courtesy of Broadcom!

Yes please!

Re: Engadget's Holiday Blues-buster 2011: win a Samsung Galaxy S II, courtesy of Broadcom!

This would be a great upgrade to my 6 year old idiot phone.

Re: The 14 Biggest Ideas of the Year - Magazine - The Atlantic

First, it wouldn't have any noticeable effect on gravity, that's just silly.

Second, keep in mind the fact that we're still clearing rain forest land every day, so the largest consumers of the CO2 are dwindling. Not to mention there's strong evidence that the rise in global temperatures is a result of there actually being more CO2 just sitting around up there, trapping heat.
Your point that it's not ALL up there is still valid though, but there are signs that there's a lot more than there used to be.

Re: Engadget Mobile turns 5 today -- help us celebrate with a Motorola Aura giveaway!

Yay Engaget Mobile.
