Dems are already setting up the expectation that Trump will look like he won in a landslide on election night. Biden will refuse to concede and wait for all the mail ins to be counted and we will find out some states flip to him for the win. They dubbed it the Red Mirage.

This election is going to be ugly. If Trump wins Dems will blame it mail in sabotage. If Biden wins, especially if it is after some states flip from mail ballots, the right will contest the results. It's a lose-lose for election integrity.

I probably could have saved them so much effort. I only wear a gaiter that I had before the pandemic. One of its advertised features is breathability. Mine is at least a nice Mission cooling towel gaiter. We bought a few cheap 4 for $20 Amazon ones for the kids and they are even thinner. I use it to comply with mask requirements for stores but I dont have any delusions that it is doing any meaningful job at protecting me.

And they will keep having to do it every time they get an outbreak. Even though they may tamp it down to nothing for a bit, they will require the rest of the world to get herd immunity before they can really get past this virus.

Could have made a better show maybe more people would tune in. Blackish don't seem to have trouble because its actually good. Hulu carries it too as its content. Hulu doesn't have a ton of original content. Their only major hit show is Handmaid's Tale. Hulu's main function was being the streaming service for other networks 1 day after they aired. They really haven't gotten serious in original content in the last few years as the streaming market has been getting more competitive.

That's unfortunate that she feels that way. In reality I think most people actually came away from that movie with exactly what she wished they would. Her character may not have been the lead but her's was the hero of the movie. It showed the real danger black people experienced back then and her willing to work with a white woman to tell their stories took a lot immense bravery. Was it to educate white people? I think many more who are too young to ever grow up in that environment are going to be educated by it no matter what skin color they are. Likely more black kids are told about it from their family but that doesn't mean that a movie can't help them see what it was like too.

The 4yo said they were swimming in the water and he climbed up on the boat and his mom didn't. Report didn't say if he went into detail why she didn't or if she just disappeared on him when he looked back to check on her after climbing into the boat.

Could have hit a cold spot and cramped up her muscles and couldn't stay above water. Happens to people every year in open water that somehow drown when they know how to swim.

The UK is already socialist when it comes to Healthcare. It is a contributing factor to their weight epidemic. What government guidelines are they going to follow. So far most got it disastrously wrong with the food pyramid, demonizing fat, and ignoring sugar. The UK followed right along with the conventional nutrition guidelines that did nothing to slow the rising obesity.

Well that is the same knot used for a noose. I highly doubt whoever tied it was thinking of sending a message. I would wager they put little thought into it and just wanted to do something fancier than a simple slip knot. When learning knots as a kid in scouts it was kind of taboo to make that knot which of course made us want to do it. There was an old wives tale that 8 rings made it illegal iirc.

"is there a way we can do something like that" does not mean to literally take disinfectant and inject it into people.

I am willing to bet some doctor or someone referencing some medical research was talking to him and described some procedure as being like cleaning out the body. They were on the topic of treatments for people and it just seemed to me that he was spit balling stuff that he had heard that the medical team was going to look into.

If we put all the relief into the unemployment system it will just encourage employers to lay people off faster. Employees would also ask to be laid off to get the increased unemployment benefits.

The point of all this is to reduce the amount of people laid off and also help the ones that do get laid off. The longer we can get employers to keep people on their books the better chance they will be able to return to their jobs. If people still get laid off they can still get the current unemployment benefits plus have the relief checks to boost any shortfall.

Every caucus location that has been reported to twitter has show to be a landslide for Bernie. Some of the other candidates picked up delegates with the 2nd round pairings after non-viable groups were redistributed.

All in all it looks like Bernie and then close race for second with Warren and Pete. Biden got torched.

Settling something this public is basically the same as admitting guilt in the court of public opinion. It probably won't get a ton of media play though since everyone else that would report it is also being sued as well and will likely also settle now that CNN did.
