Hey Rand, great research! I think would be very insightful categorizing the searches eg searches for product/services, travel, directions/addresses, reviews, how to etc.
I suppose many mobile searches are related to directions, addresses, restaurant reviews and that's probably one of the reasons the zero clicks are that high. For product/services related searches I'd expect zero clicks quite lower.

Since everything is event based , my question is how these events are being created? The ga tag will listen to all events and we can choose the ones to track? Or we'll need to create event tags in tag manager?

Seems that the event you send to GA is sent with the non-interaction hit set to true. This affects the bounce rate calculation.

For Q4 the biggest change was the new ad size on RHS and the number of ads. That worked as catalyst for higher CTR and higher CPC/CPM. Now on every "page view" there are less ads, than last year. Less ads on the page means higher CPC/CPM.

I have some questions how you define your time event? How you using the gtm.timer to fire at a session? How you exclude bounced visitors ?
