Appreciate your thoughtful post. We've been working on a new desktop, developed with silverlight that I think you'll find superior and useful. It's currently available in a preview version, but look to a beta coming shortly. Sheamus, Thanks for the post, and as always, your invaluable feedback. Safe to say, as you may already know, we're working on a brand new seesmic desktop with a platform that allows a plugin architecture that will allow you to pick and choose features to install. We're currently working on the SDK that will allow developers to build features, and we're pretty excited about it. We'll keep you posted

Hi, Andrew - thanks for your post and apologies for the lack of response - we actually put up a post last week on our help site and announced through twitter that points to the facebook and performance issues with a certain group of users: http://help.seesmic.com/for... . Some of the workable solutions have made a difference with some, but others still had problems so we've posted a link to our previous version of Seesmic Desktop. I've also made sure to make periodic updates to the post. We also created a small group of case testers, which I recruited by asking through twitter: http://www.teamseesmic.com/... (you'll need to register to join the network to participate). With their help, we were able to identify the problem and will be using the group to help us test the next version. You are definitely welcomed to join us. We hope to start testing with this group by tomorrow before we make the release available to everyone else. I appreciate your patience and support and once again offer apologies.

Thanks for the feedback. Loic's vision is to support that, but he tendency is to send out something in it's earliest form that is of quality, and listen to you and the rest of the users - hence, the "preview" version of Seesmic Web. We'll be iterating as fast as we can and releasing some of the features you'll be benefitting from. Listen, Learn, Adapt and Excute - we'll try our best!

Keith, This is Yama, community evangelist for Seesmic. Sync'ing is something we'll be working on. If anything, the saved searches will sync to your twitter account - save (or delete) your saved search on seesmic web, and check out your saved searches on twitter - and vice versa. Thanks!
