So... REGARDING iCLOUD:

Still no mention of Safari BOOKMARKS being synced OR being able access/modify the on the WEB!!!!

And is iWeb DEAD? What about uploading and editing WEBPAGES?

...Still not providing a way to "store" ALL my PHOTOS and files "in the cloud'? And what about WEB GALLERIES???

Also, will I be able to "store" ANY FILE "in the Cloud" as a backupspace??? (like with iDisk) Will there still be the DropBox for file sharing?
Also, why do I have to pay an annual fee for storing MATCHED MUSIC (and what about DVDs I own & ripped if they are being treated just like purchased songs (I can see the annual fee being for ADDITIONAL STORAGE for non-matched material that is ACTUALLY uploaded and stored...)

Will iCloud also deal with other media or JUST MUSIC? (like purchased TV SHOWS & MOVIES, PODCASTS, etc)

Its a move in the right direction, BUT STILL NOT ENOUGH (I guess you get what you pay for!)

I haven't upgraded to a new iPhone since there is no point in spending the money for a phone that I can't use in my own home! So I have been waiting for a Verizon version... I am waiting for an "iPhone 4G"

It is sad to me in this day and age that we are asking ourselves how something will affect a big corporation, rather than be concerned about the consumer -- its like everyone thinks consumers ONLY exist to support AT&T? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Price badly for its size and amount of data -- should be $100 lower -- though I think I like the size better than the iPad

I'm sorry... Am I missing something? Haven't Mac users had "this" (video chat) for quit a while now... called i-something... So, now it includes connecting to mobile users, BUT is done in a separate application?!?!? Why wasn't this integrated into iChat, with iChat put on the iPhone -- why a whole new thing??? STUPID!

I still don't get what the point of "like"ing things are for me the end user? Is there a way for me to browse my likes or see stats of how much I like different things (based on page views, I guess?)...or find new friends with similar likes or compare my likes to current friends' likes, etc. ?!?!?

I like that it is connected to iTunes, but integration into existing networks would be good... But I like the idea of following artists to discover their new stuff and the stuff that the "like" -- I see it as an expansion of the Genius recommendations...

Ping -- Why only MUSIC?

This was a missed opportunity not including TV Shows, Movies, Books, even Podcasts as capable of being followed -- isn't Apple trying to sell items beyond music?

It would also be nice if there was a website too...

I ALSO hope that Ping on the iOS devices will now allow for "following" (as it does not currently allow adding to your "wishlist" -- which would be nice too!)

reading this section of replies made me wonder:

- why are we assuming that Level 2 is an ADVANCEMENT? Since the name of the boat is "Lost Souls" and was so isolated...

- that thought reminded me of Dante's "decent into the levels of HELL" (another of many inconsistencies is why Neil has been sent into the field after being promoted to the Director's right hand man. Its hard to separate intent from bad writing.)

- Also, I noticed that Janet was the ONLY person who didn't do something really bad in her past? Or did she? Why was she so sure her daughter was in danger with her mother? We are never told what Janet's mother did to her as a child to make her so wary of her mother? Maybe Janet did something to her own daughter and The Program was trying to help her come to terms with it?

But, I STILL WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE PURPOSE/GOAL OF THE PROGRAM WAS -- and there were many characters who alluded to knowing the answer, just never shared it (the Director should have reminded the board for our benefit)

AND, why does Joe say, "I'm running out of ideas" when he wakes up in the experiment at the end (and the person who "scheduled" Janet's husband into that same experiment should be shot -- they were watching him, they knew he knew who Joe was!)

Mary, I think you've missed the point -- its not the answer to "will they escape" that we were waiting for... It was "what is the point or purpose of The Program." WHY have these characters been chosen? To what end? What has Janet's mother promised? THERE ARE FAR MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS -- and many stupid inconsistencies (like, how do you cut off the thumb of a "live" person in a body bag without realizing they were alive!)

The reality is we could "debate" the meaning of the show, BUT I DOUBT THERE REALLY IS ONE -- I don't think the writer knows what the F*CK he was trying to say...

Let's make a show where a gunman goes into schools (after we get attached to the kid's "characters") and just kills them all for the fun of it -- yeah, that would be a really great show... (You can only get away with that in "disaster" movies because "acts of God" are beyond our control or explanation -- but some person "created" and thought up The Program and we ALL wondered WHY?)

UNLESS it's a metaphor for how "life" is really just a prison that we can't escape from -- but we don't kill ourselves to escape because of the "illusion of free will..."

(P.S. free will is NOT an illusion -- its a LIE -- when you are a prisoner and you have no control over your situation -- except the "illusion" that you can choose your "purpose" in life, and "choose" to be happy, etc.)

Yeah, THAT must be it!

How can you say, "All in all, Persons Unknown was a pretty cool show. It had a great writer, and a pretty cool cast," -- it was not a great writer! The writer sucks -- blank stares from Joe is not "good writing!"

I'm sick and tired of poor writing presented under the guise of "character driven." Who's the idiot who thinks we, the viewers, want stupid unexplained, mysterious, unending plots with REALLY INTERESTING CHARACTERS?!?!?

NBC lied to me -- nothing was explained -- what was the purpose of The Program? The Director could have slipped that in at the Board Meeting, but I doubt the writers knew what the point was themselves!

I will not be watching NBC shows and I will SPECIFICALLY NOT BE PATRONIZING NBC ADVERTISERS!!!

What I'm hoping to see soon (either on Facebook or third-party) is a way to overview and see mapped out my personal interests, back track thru to the sources and even organize them, as well as search for more interests (be able to create and manage your "interests graph") and discover friends' interests. Also, then, find friends with shared interests and find new people to connect with who have similar interests (maybe even by geographical proximity, etc.)...

Maybe those could be promoted here as discovered!

I think there is a need for a new category of devices between the phone and the computer. But I don't think the iPad fills it -- in order for a device to fill that "new category" it MUST be completely independent...

The main SHORTFALL OF THE iPAD IS -- IT IS NOT A STAND-ALONE DEVICE -- IT IS MERELY A PERIPHERAL...
