It seems most of the comments here are pretty divided, either the person had a successful unpaid internship that led into a good paying position, therefore they feel unpaid internships are a good thing, like a way of paying their dues. On the other hand there are those that are disgruntled because they went through one or more unpaid internships that have done nothing for them. Both may be valid arguments but seem more based in personal experience than reason. But, if you look at the situation and try, if that's even possible, remove yourself from your personal experience with internships, I think it's pretty clear and logical. Unpaid internships are a way for businesses to cut costs for entry level work, and for the universities to dilute the quality of their education by making the "cornerstone" of their program an internship. You goto a job to work, you goto a university to learn.

Winter storm, lol. This story was blown way out of proportion, at least here in Texas. I don't even think there was ice on the bridges this morning. Commute was uneventful, got to work 30 minutes early, and was traveling during what was supposed to be the worst of it. Probably be 70 tomorrow afternoon and will await the scare next time a cold front moves in again.

Can't stand ungrateful, lazy sobs. When did Americans get such a sense of entitlement when it comes to customer service. Companies bend backwards to accommodate a customer, but when it comes to their workers, they're all about cutting corners and finding loopholes, whether its paying the minimum, scheduling the maximum hours they can without paying benefits, or making you work harder because they are always understaffed.

That wasn't a 'state of the union' just one long political advertisement. Nothing but general promises, vague statements of accomplishments, and pathos appeals to large voting blocks like minorities and women. Oh and I've never seen so many old people with plastic surgery done to their face. Just sad. These people are so out of touch with reality, they really should all be voted out on their next term.

None of these politicians goals is to help the American people, and if they do help, it is only incidentally so. Their goal is to help themselves stay in office. The government shutdown was a great example of this. They focus on issues, but rarely offer solutions. One of our reps writes letters in our local paper blasting Obamacare almost weekly. That is the way of politicians, and our two party system unfortunately. The Democrats are just as bad, offering pie in the sky promises, and no concrete action.

When have we ever had a philosopher politician as described? Was there a point in all this. I don't quite get what's so disturbing about this ad. It's a commercial, and its trying to sell you something. The author goes on to say,

"They have to compete in the global marketplace. It doesn't help them to try to close off foreign competition."

I suppose they should just fold and call it a day. There are only so many things you can talk about a car. Volkswagen touts "German Engineering", why not talk about American labor. They're trying to create value in the product, give people a reason to buy it. It's a commercial. If companies could they'd have slave labor and steal their resources. Just look at early Industrial America, that's not that far from the truth.

Is the author trying to insinuate that people will watch this and become extreme nationalists. What was the point!

The funniest part of this story is you click on the inner circle of bieber, you see he hangs out with a bunch of tools and wannabe rappers... Lil Za, Lil Twist, Drake, Chris Brown, lmao. CNN tries to make them sound like hard-a criminals.

His comments seem more in jest(maybe a reaction to all the negative press the rich get for being rich) than something that anyone is even remotely considering. Besides the rich don't need more votes, because they've already bought the politicians to serve their interests. Articles like this just strike me as CNN trying to stir up the pot. If CNN had their way, we'd be fighting and killing each other and rioting in the streets. Keep trying to pit us against each other, because sensationalism sells and well objective reporting is boring.

I think you got it wrong. The propaganda is self serving. Maybe it leans to the left, but really it strives to maintain this dichotomy in America, Rich vs. Poor, Democrat vs. Republican. 1% vs. 99% etc.

That pretty much sums up the movie. Just saw this movie on Netflix and was extremely disappointed. It tries too hard to be thought provoking but the characters are not really compelling or interesting to make any of this believable. I mean when Vern showed his scar, you could tell he's been through a lot? The premise maybe was developed after someone took a intro to philosophy class. Instead of being immersed in a world where there is a "design" or some sort of predetermined future I just see some people who belong to a cult of lame riddles. Maybe its just one of those movies that's so deep even the writers can't comprehend how deep it really is.

If politicians spent less time placing blame on the other party, and instead tried passing laws which addressed problems instead of the symptoms we'd be a lot better off. Problem is the two party system by design will never affect positive change, because instead of creating solutions they must always pander to two different demographics (i.e. rich/poor, businessman/working class, christian/non-christian). We need politicians who aren't afraid to go against what is popular even if it means alienating themselves politically.

Sounds nice. I like the overall balance in the mix. Guitars sound really good. My only suggestion, the lead vocal could use a little lift eq-wise to cut through the instruments. Nice job.
