Stan Bennett is a disgrace. By aligning himself with Ben Little while he
served on the city council it cost him his re-election. Good riddance ...!!

What was the big deal in NOT releasing the 10 candidates names?
Only one was from Anniston.
It will be interesting to see who Ben Little supports.

It is becoming apparent that city attorney Cleo Thomas, was recruited by Ben Little and has joined forces with him as an obstruction to
Anniston progress. Was it Cleo Thomas who brought the trial lawyers
into the MDA decision?

As an Anniston resident, I have to agree with the writer's comment
that basically say that "Anniston is a dying town." The culture has changed in Anniston over the years as it has become predominately
an African American city. The Anniston City School System speaks
volumes about the changing culture issue. The school system is over
95% black. At Anniston High, 70% of the students only have one parent in the home. It is likely that parent can barely read or write. The drop out
rate is 37% which is the second highest in the state. On exit exams,
Anniston School System ranks in the bottom 20% of Alabama public schools.

With such a poor school system, it is highly unlikely that Anniston can
attract companies with good paying jobs.

Also, the Anniston City Council is a major distraction for acquiring new
jobs into Anniston. Councilman Ben Little is driving away any hopes
for new Anniston companies starting here.

This certainly brings back memories. I was in my early teens when
McClellan had the German prisoner of war camp. During the 1940's it
was customary for a family ride on Sundays after church.
Since I was fascinated with WWII movies at that age, I pleaded with my
parents to visit the prisoner of war camp at McClellan. When we drove by the prison I was excited to see real Germans after watching all of the WWII movies at the time.

School children of US Army soldiers stationed at McClellan also would collect watches and jewelry for repair. The talented German prisoners
earned money by repairing these items.

While working at IBM I met a former German Luffwafe pilot who was shot down in Europe during the war and was captured. He was sent to
a prison camp in Louisiana. As the war was coming to a close, he did
not want to return to Germany. He escaped prison and hopped a
freight train hoping to make it to Mexican border. To his surprise, the train was headed east and he was recaptured in Alabama and back to
the camp. After the war, he returned to America to begin his life as an
engineer.

Chicken factories are disgusting. Visit a Tyson farm sometime.
They are packed in bins with not enough room to move or turn around.
Watch the Tyson trucks delivering the chickens to the slaughter house.
Whenever driving to Birmingham you see several dead chickens on the
road that have blown out of the packed cages.

Chickens have one of the worse lives of any existing animals.

I wonder if Ben Little and Cleo Thomas brought the trial lawyers into
MDA legal decision? Maybe this is part of Ben Little's goal of stopping
any economic development of McClellan.

Wednesday's booms sure concerned me. They were much louder than
previous blasts. The doors and widows shook and rattled over the entire house.

Some friends of mine suggest it might be the Anniston bypass
road constuction. I understand about one year ago this happened
and near by neighbors complained and the dynamite construction was
made to stop.

Ben Little's goal is to oust all white people on the Anniston City Council
and the Anniston School Board. His goal and passion is to rub White
people's nose into the ground. If he ever gets control of the city council,
he will run Anniston into the ground.
