It's not a problem.

Re: Cubicle Muses - MacBook Plain Text Please (Part 6: Preview, TextEdit, TextMate)

Delete.

Re: Cubicle Muses - MacBook Pro What's up Dock? (Part 2: Finder and Chrome)

Ah Patrick, looks like PathFinder has definitely come a long way since last I examined it (maybe six years ago). Now it appears to be as overpowered and customizable as anyone could possibly want. It may very well find a place on my dock after the next time regular Finder misbehaves.

Re: Cubicle Muses - CoverStory on the iPhone

I recommend testing the app in the iPhone simulator.

How to set environment variables? It appears that krasnyk (from the Stack Overflow question) found success by using the setenv function (see <stdlib.h>) in his actual code.

Re: Cubicle Muses - CoverStory on the iPhone

I'm not at all surprised that you're having some trouble getting things working. You'll notice that my entry is form a year ago. Surely, the iPhone SDK has changed in relevant ways.

Re: Cubicle Muses - CoverStory on the iPhone

Yes, it needs to be fixed. Certainly the Level 2 script described above is worthless in the face of Level 3. How would a reverted controller develop generalized strategies?

Firstly, there's simple parameterization. Instead of two steps forward, one step right. We switch to finding the exit. The fight! routine is a trivial example. We don't know how many hits it will take, so just keep going until the foe falls.

Secondly, there's the balancing contradictory urges. This is much more interesting. Suppose you're in the middle of some activity when something important comes up, something exceptional. Exceptions as such may not be satisfying. After dealing with an interruption, how do we go about resuming the original task?
