the term "Secularism" too is used conveniently as per ones convenience today, without cully understanding the correct meaning of it and spirit of secularism! The day is not far off when voters will ask the leaders the basic questions: How are you going to solve the problems and provide Healthcare, security, jobs, infrastructure, industry, growth....! People are smart today not to be taken for empty words that most leaders are adept at. Speech, bhashan.... is not good enough.

In my opinion, the advent of Buddhism and Jainism started the Hindu's peaceful nature and allowed the invaders to invade India. One Ashoka dictate made his powerful Army convert to Buddhism and became Monks. When the invaders came, there were none to defend! Untill Shivaji Maharaj came on the Horizon, the Hindu's didnt believe in themselves. Shivaji maharaj can be credited for having whatever little Hinduism is still remains in India, especially West and Southern India. Jai Ho.
