I was rooting for them. To the point where I was practically throwing 70k at them for the launch edition. But things fell apart with the crappy ordering system and first level csr ("Rädgiver" lol🙄) hell, disputing the Launch edition order, and I wisely canceled my reservation. Too many red flags. Hoping someone gives the Y proper competition at some point. Sigh.

Unless you already paid $5k for EAP in Dec 18- Jan 2019... Then you feel like a chump for paying more for the car, having older hardware in need of an upgrade, operating a deprecated and devalued tier of self driving (which was previously the top tier as FSD was not a purchasable option) and paying more on top of that than if you had the option to buy fsd outright to begin with. Not happy.

Almost a year in with my 2010 Equinox, and I still love it. You have to drive like a zen hypermiling master to maintain 32 mpg on the highway, but I still feel as if the fuel efficiency is relatively accurate. (I bought the 4 cylinder, as the MPG was a large selling factor).

I don't like the 4 cylinder sewing machine sound of the engine at idle. You only hear it when you're outside of the car because the active noise suppression system is so great. When in Eco mode, there is a discernible delay between when you stomp on it and the car decides to go. The 4 cylinder picks up very well when you stomp on the gas, but growls uncivilly when doing so. I also find myself accidentally opening the rear windows because there aren't any immediate button cues (e.g. a little knubby bump) to help differentiate the window controls.

Otherwise, I'm digging the little ute. I feel tall in traffic, it hauls the baby great, rear sliding row is awesome, it looks sharp, rear camera and automatic lift gate are clutch.

You should check one out if you're in the market.

Sorely disappointed with this ill-informed hack job of an article. This improves on a class leading, award winning camera - the K-x,which you also ill advisedly maligned as well. Not only does this camera have HDR - mind you, a rather toy like feature that you apparently require, but you missed the memo on the high ISO. Looking forward to your editors eating your words when the hands-on comes in. What a waste.

Words can't describe how disappointing it is they're not bringing the diesel over here. An X1 pulling down 32 real highway MPG would be the chosen one. Easily.

Are you guys driving it pretty enthusiastically? I was hopeful for more real MPG achieved from day to day driving, which obviously takes a bit of luster off of the 2010 Equinox's offering, relative to being "leading in class."

At what MPH are you finding the stated 32 MPG rating? I'd love to understand if 30mpg is a realistic expectation at all.

Hey Janet! How very sad! Would you mind putting up a static index.php to these other sites you've passed the torch on to then? It certainly doesn't have to be fancy, but a simple "this site is no longer active and here's a link to some other sites.." type of diddy would be very nice. I'm of the opinion that this digital decay reflects just as poorly as in real life.. $0.02. Thanks for considering and the fast response!

Disqus is pretty interesting app. There's a slight delay as the third party comments field loads, but so far so good.
