It is the Mercer Island paper. Shame on the MI Reporter!

Re: Editorial | Elect Jarrett, Maxwell; No on Prop #1 - Mercer Island Reporter

I am having a hard time understanding how the MI Reporter editorial can open praising Jarrett and Clibborn for representing Mercer Island well in the 41st district and then brush aside the hard work of Steve Litzow a MERCER ISLAND City Councilman who is endorsed by the Seattle Times AND Muni League rated over his opponent.

Seriously? Now, I am sure that Marcie Maxwell is a nice lady but our district is more than diverse school district populations. More specifically related to Islanders - How much can she really relate to the noise pollution created from airplanes taking off from of her own back yard? Or the train that will blast down I90 right through our back (and front) yard?

Litzow lives and pays taxes on Mercer Island, is (in the MI Reporters own words) "a smart and capable Mercer Island City Councilmember", and he actively supports Mercer Island Schools and Community Organizations. How more in touch with the Island can he be?

The MI Reporter missed the mark on this one.
