Ya I agree, lol the deniers on this thread are cracking me up!! I'm 48 but still can see the writing on the wall. I know more and more 20 somethings, with middle to high incomes, that don't own cars. They use Uber/Lyft and rent Zip cars.

No but I think it is a reasonable expectation to not have to purchase every book twice. Purchasing the physical book should give you a massively discounted price for the online book. OR just have a subscription model where you get all the digital content for a reasonable monthly fee. It feels like WotC is double dipping.

fpd4, it's a National Park. They sometimes cut deadfall, often near trails. I know this area well as I've been backpacking the Hoh for 30+ years.

Amazon just conquered the gaming platform. I'm in shock that neither Steam, Sony, Nintendo, Apple nor XBOX has pivoted to grow the addressable market. Amazon just ate it.

I felt the same way when I moved to bldg. 44, but I love it here! Whiteboards everywhere, desks on wheels with electrical height adjustment, tons of focus rooms, tons of small phone rooms. It's pretty quiet too - I think because people will go grab a focus room when they need to discuss something.

I disagree with a lot of the assumptions in this article. I thought once Saul became a central character, and the Brody-Carrie dynamic was largely absent, the show went to a higher level. The acting and drama in the third season left me thinking - this show might be as great as Breaking Bad. If they continue the level of acting, and still center the show around the relationship between SAUL and Carrie, it will have another great season.

First sign up for an Azure account. Then click "Add-ons" in the top nav, select "Store", then search for Send Grid. Then you can select the free plan (or higher) and walk through the set up wizard.

I had the opposite reaction to Ballmer leaving - I just signed up at Microsoft. MS has an incredible pool of talent and a huge audience; they just need an updated vision and leadership and that wasn't Ballmer/Windows.

Choosing to leave any company to launch your own startup should be a decision made out of pure passion, ability to assume great risk, and acceptance that failure is OK.

I was at this hackathon. I work for ESPN and we were one of the sponsors. She was the ONLY female HACKER. There were other females in the room, but she was the only female participating in the hackathon.

Funny, I feel this way about CNN, FOX, NBC, ABC and the other "news" networks. I wish they would observe silence and wait for the facts. With Twitter there is no presumption of news. It's global chat and I expect people to act in line with their own personalities, politics, faiths and emotions.

Interesting, thanks. I just asked around my friends at Amazon. The number of Amazon Appstore apps is close to 100k, so add that to the Google numbers and you've got a close race between Android and Apple. I expect by end of year Android will be the leader on both total apps available and downloaded. With the most acceleration in the Amazon Appstore, which will only increase, given the impending Kindle phone.

Another interesting data point is that revenue per active user for Amazon Appstore is very close to Apple, whereas it's extremely low for Google.

What a difference a year makes. Going to be interested to see how the next 12 months shake. Kindle phone, new Apple TV . . .

Your last chart assumes Android = Google Play. But that isn't true, what about Amazon's Appstore? Or are those numbers just Google Play? If it's the latter, I'm shocked. Because if you then add in Amazon Appstore, the Android number will certainly be higher than Apple's ecosystem.

Yawn. It's fair to demand less regurgitation from Hollywood. They are not catering to the audience, that is a myth. They recycle old stories that worked in the past because they want to minimize risk and it's a very cost effective way to market and secure ROI (reduce risk).
