My sister faced the same issue when she attended The Middle School and High School - absolutely nothing was done to help her and keep her safe. There is a very BIG problem with the school district's culture and their non nonchalant attitude toward bullying. They focus on things that are not big issues and minimize ones that are. If you need some back-up on this issue, I would be happy to join the cause.

Re: Facebook to open Seattle office

Well hello! Direct voice and democracy is voting and I see none of that from Marysville politicians. We lose.”

So she is complaining about not having a voice and then becoming angry for receiving one? Hmm…

My family lives about a mile East of State Street and my father has a business in town. For over 25 years, our family has been an integral part of the City of Marysville, but has neither had a voice nor been able to benefit from city services.

Calling a small town with a politically weak mayor “greedy politicians” and accusing them of “totalitarianism” is ridiculous. Does anyone know how much a city council member makes? It’s a small salary– and if you don’t believe me read the election information guide.

The point is, these people do not run because of greed, they run because they care about their community, and for Ms. McAnaw to actually write, "Mr. Kendall (note I didn’t call you Mayor, I didn’t get to vote for you)" just shows she lacks class and maturity.

And by the way, one of two opposing candidates running for council this year was in a hit-and-run on election night and apparently was driving under the influence. The other candidate is ironically his friend, co-worker and running mate. It was definitely slim pickings this year.

The annexation will provide Marysville an opportunity to grow and a chance for local businesses to succeed. So, to Ms. McAnaw, who is so eager to criticize Marysville’s leadership: You now have an opportunity to run for office and make a difference - let's see if you do that.

Re: Students pitch in to clean up M-P - Marysville Globe

I am so happy that YGLPT continues and that more students are getting involved. I thought this program was wonderful when I was in highschool and I thank Mr. Erickson for all his hard work putting it together. I am so proud of M-PHS and I really hope that future students continue to care for it.
