True its like completely new to even after year one..i am proud to be an xperia z owner...this device is completely outstanding and continues to amaze me till this date..the tech packed in this phone was way ahead of its time..with this phone I never felt the urge of buying a new phone or leaning towards a different phone..or i never felt that my z is outdated now and i need to change it asap...the s4 pro packed in this phone is very very very fast!!! and sony i making it faster with every update! No complains at all
Lots of people complain about the loose flaps but mine are all working correctly and they fit in tightly back to their place!
Yes there were some drawbacks to me like the speakers..but as my phone was always on silent and i used earphones so it didnt bothered me at all..
I really mean it sony is on the right track and hope they make these awesome devices
Even today with the new devices coming it..it feels that my z is not outdated! I mean 2GB ram sufficient battery life 1080p screen its like a future proof phone and can still go on for one more year in this fast paced mobile world where phones get outdated every few months..
Completely satisfied with my z and currently looking forward to Xperia Z2..will grab it as soon as it launches..can't wait for it..Cheers!

I Hope sony sticks with the 2GB RAM as 3GB is just an overkill and a thing to brag about...performance wont be any different at all. Look at the benchmarks of Z1 and Note 3 NO DIFFERENCE !!
Sony should not go in this senseless specs bumping race...just my opinion

When there will be other phones out their with 2k panels and the one with 1080p of the SAME PRICE RANGE which one are you gonna choose? I am just saying with the release of S5 with 2k panel and Sony Sirius with a 1080p panels who you gonna think is going to get a better attention...
And i really mean it WHO THE HELL NEEDS A 2K DISPLAY !! but at the same time in the tech race to be on top you cant be left behind with anything..just anything
I DONT WANT S5 USERS TO BRAG THAT MINE HAS 2K AND YOURS IS STILL 1080P !

Most of it are software enhancements so i guess the Z series will be getting it...i was blown away with the 4.3 update but now this!! this is just awesome!

Off topic but just heard the news HTC also going with 1080p display but that's just a good news...i really hope people realise it by time that 2k displays or anything more than 1080p is just a gimmick nothing else

Sony have no other option dude...other manufacturers will release 2k display that's for sure...to be in the game sony also have to release it they got no other way...but yeah i totally agree that's now they are just doing it as a marketing gimmick...it's just an overkill
iphone 5s has an awesome display i know we are droid fans and i am not taking their sides but we know their display it good just at 320 something ppi and looks at these manufacturers just bumping up ppi rather than display quality

Happy with my XPERIA Z....can't believe 2GB RAM are not enough for phones now!!! Tablets and mid-range laptops run smoothly on 2GB RAM with windows 8.1.. One thing is OEM's are not finding any more innovation on mobile tech so they are just bumping up the specs now...like 2k display? who the hell needs it? even big 50"inch tv's are 1080p and no one complained! Software optimisation is what is required not just blindly bumping up specs uselessly...
That's just my opinion guys
I will wait for the real flagship with 2k display or the one with 64bit processor from Qualcomm. Sony just a advice dont release flagships blindly release one capable flagship worth a upgrade! like they could have skipped xperia z1 and given a 20.7mp sensor on xperia z itself then with all the other improved they could have released another one at CES 2014 just like 2013...

first of all i prefer glass panel it looks a thousand times more classic and beautiful just look at z1
second LED flash again!!!! where is the xenon??
Xperia z1 looks far far far better than this...i dont think this phone is going to be a worthy upgrade to z1 owners
just my opinion...

Awesome midranger phone from sony!!!! This will very well compete from those Samsung Galaxy Megas and Nokia Lumia 1320!! Awesome specs hoeever i wish they have provided with at least of 1.5GB of RAM but as kitkat 4.4 and future versions of android will be optimised for 512MB of Ram i don't think there will be any problem in the performance department..plus the beautiful elegant design great battery and awesome 13MP Camera will lure all the customers in! Go Sony Go!
In INDIA this is going to sell like hot cupcakes!!!!

Here is a crazy idea Make a WP device which when connected to a external monitor boots Desktop Windows 8! Deliver this and I am SOLD!!
This idea is same as Ubuntu Edge but it's not gonna come anytime soon as their crowd-funding failed...

I was really hoping with the rumors that Xperia z1 compact will have a IPS LCD panel and the days of bad displays are over with 2014...but there is still hope *sigh*
