He has one but it loses connection all the time, so I have a barometer, temp, and humity sensor thats going to be hooked up to an arduino outside with a cheap rf transmitter and a fez domino inside with the receiver and lcd to display it. I have been ignoring it since christmas bc I have been rather busy.

Re: Rust Removal Using Soda

I think you've got ferris and non-ferris mixed up.

Re: http://switchedblog.tumblr.com/post/3922375222

Awesome, I have been using them for a while now.

Re: http://blog.justinrcole.net/post/3774767259

I have no problem working for a company any number of years, the best of which would be until I retire. I am just trying to find something I do not hate. I love engineering and design work, I am mechanical with a strong interest in robotics and clean energy. I probably should have been a computer engineer but I like to build stuff.

Id like to hear about your company, where is it located and whats its product or service? If you want you can email me, its on my contact link at the top of this page or justincole01 at gmail dot com.

Re: http://blog.justinrcole.net/post/3774767259

I wasn't trying to imply you were, sorry.

Re: http://blog.justinrcole.net/post/2308942979

no its a stack of coupons that just look like it. It was rather time consuming. It took a while to get the bike cleaned up. The only engineering side of the bike was rather simple, it was just the design of the adapter plate and battery storage. We designed both up and made sure they all would perform without failing. The rest was just calculating and wiring the damn thing. There are quite a few builds that are posted online. I suggest keeping it as simple as possible. It only took us one semester to design and one to build. Keep in mind that we could have sped this up but we had plenty of time to take and plan it. I think there is a timeline which is called a gantt chart on here somewhere of the time frames. The hardest part I would have to say is just getting started and figuring out what you need and what you want on it. good luck.

Re: WVU Tech Electric Bike Conversion

we went with cheapest components on the market. we went with heavy lead acid batteries and everything. we even got the bike for $200 from a local repair shop. I would say it has to cost $2000 at minimum. If you could get parts donated then maybe you could do it for cheaper.

Re: Nexus One could debut new Android data backup service

I was going to submit a story but you guys dont have that option enabled.
I posted it on my blog here on tumblr, gizmodo found a 10min video of the nexus one interface and it is the best video out so far.

Re: WVU Tech Electric Bike Conversion

The bike is not registered with the dmv (no inspection or license plate)and it has no taillight/headlight or turn signals. You could add batteries in parallel to get the amp hours up which is proportional to distance but thats at the expense of weight with lead acid batteries but they are the cheapest option.

There are some awesome light batteries out but they would cost about $5000 to get a range of 40-50 miles, check out the Brammo Enertia powerbike, it has that range and a $12000 price tag using lithium iron phosphates. Also the Zero Motorcycles Zero S which is another electric motorcycle on the market.

I started a blog about electric vehicles after we finished the bike, its electricpower.tumblr.com, I post alot of news and info on electric vehicles.

Re: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger!
