Wow! Wonderful write up. I have a trip planned with my parents next Jan./Feb. to both Vietnam and the Philippines to finally visit my "Motherlands" for the first time :) I couldn't wait to visit, but after reading what the country has to offer through another persons perspective my excitement is now through the roof! I wonder if the weather in Vietnam is going to be hot like the summers here in Austin, TX plus the humidity or if its just plain cold. Movie is actually done fairly well MINUS the obviously 2HR run time. NO EXCUSE! No child let alone adult like myself has the attention span to watch something that long especially with a mediocre plot and sub-par acting. Overall though, it was fun watching it especially seeing those kids beat each other up with well made fight choreography which in my opinion saved the film.

call me crazy, but that's one beautiful "design" to me! :) i mean that plastic bottle alone is as wonderful as the classic glass Heinz Ketchup bottle in my opinion. lol. maybe i'm biased because i'm Asian ^_^ great post!

I recently just stumbled across your blog via the awesome battle between Anu and Arrington from the post on Venture Beat. Great stuff! The virtual currency/gaming world is getting messy, but interesting to observe.

Anyway, I would completely agree with your initial thoughts between the two platforms. I personally use both Twitter and Tumblr and love them both! Each one serves a different purpose, but the key thing between Tumblr compared to Twitter is EXACTLY what you said, more "self expression." I really like how they bridge the gap between a FULL sized blog to a simple tweet.

I will tell you this, with all these apps overlapping one another it's getting mighty challenging to filter through all this information.

BTW: why does that church look familiar... is that the same church at the end of the movie of The Rock? (When Nicholas Cage finds a roll of film filled with U.S. secrets/conspiracies given to him by Sean Connery?) =P I swear it looks like the exact same church from the picture.
