I have complete confidence in Coach Mack, Rolo and staff (including Coach Tomey/Davis/Miano/Aranda/Shaw/Tuioti/Lumpkin/etc) to do their due diligence and make the right call for our program and the University. If he is a keeper I have no doubt they'll do their very best to keep him. If not, I also have no doubt that it will be catch-n-release time :-).

I too share concern for the safety and well being of the family mentioned in so much detail in this article. i am also quite surprised better judgement was not exercised and greater oversight/discretion used in the reporting.

Dave, I think Abercrombie pretty much killed our relationship with the Pro Bowl/NFL. In fact I can't think of another who could have done us in better. Yup, often it not what you say but rather how you say it which matters most. Unfortunately, he didn't say it very well:-(.

Hi Jodi,

I am a friend of both your dad and mom, had been to his home in Waipahu many times. Recall even helping cook Mahi Mahi with your dad's special recipe at a Mid PAC carnival fund raiser too. I shared a room with him at the Aggie Grey in western Samoa. So many fond memories. I even have a photo album of the trips he took me on along with tapes of his shows. He was so special to me and I will miss him very much! Much comfort to you and family!

My condolence to and prayers for the Kojima ohana. Hari was a personal friend who took me on many fishing adventures I will cherish always. Magical memories! He also took so very good care of me and treated me like family. He was kind, caring and generous. I will miss him dearly.

I'm thinking not providing the long form certificate sooner had more to do with protecting his mom than trying to prove his birth. Maybe he did not want people to know her age at conception. Hopefully, we can know focus on the real issues and who can best solve them!

I think I'd like to see variety, including giving Rob DeMello shot. However, for baseball definitely having Pal is a tremendous plus and hard to beat. He engaging, entertaining and very knowledgeable!

Would be nice if SA provides a summary of sticking points and proposed resolutions so we are all more equipped to make better, valid, objective, value added and more informed comments. Also with a lot less emotion. After all HECO is a public utility and we should have a right to know what each side are fighting for:-). Come on SA a little more digging please:-)!

I think it is a step in the right direction. Having both on the same page can only help not hurt our program and the University. To do otherwise will only tarnish their reputation and diminish their accomplishments. As said many times before..."give love a chance"

as a result of this debacle several things are crystal clear: 1. HECO, a public utility and monopoly, should by law not be allowed to stop service with no concern for the welfare of the public, 2. competition is a must, 3. non-union employees and contractors showed that they can do the job so, let the bargaining unit walk continue, 4. it revealed questionable leadership by the Gov and Mayor, with little substantive comments/action. 5. prayers to all who had to endure hardship and financial loss and 6. please more aloha from those involved in such a selfish act that should never be permitted to purposely happen again.

three thoughts...when it comes to a public utility we need competition, walking out on the people of Ewa was wrong and has definitely resulted in a loss of union sentiment and lastly I guess when it comes to certain things we don't have a strong leader and vocal Governor as most thought.

Would like to know what actually happened to our Governor's initial nominee Neal Palafox and why his named was unexpectedly removed from consideration? So many conflicting stories surrounding the situation that reading the truth once in awhile would be nice and refreshing.
