The Senheiser 416 is the industry standard for shotguns - and a DR-40 is a terrible choice for managing your levels in a fluid environment. DR-60 or 70 or the Zoom H6 can adapt to a situation and input in a professional manner at similar price points. Both suggested audio devices allow you to set your low-pass filter more cleanly than the on-mic filter, and the NTG4's high end boost is for when it's in a blimp - to counteract the high end loss caused by the housing. The Rode Video Mic X is the same cost as a Sen416 and offers none of the directional benefits, so unless your camera handling is silent and wide-angle close you're shooting yourself in the foot. Nothing at all mentioned about placing a wireless lav - which is also cheaper than a Vid Mic X - and will give you the most important effect never once mentioned - proximity. It's the same as the inverse square law for light - closer is louder, brighter and cleaner! A lav mic six inches from the subject will have less ambient - easier than your Rhode package. Placing a wireless lav on the floor, desk, behind art or decor gives your soundscape a consistent point of view as you work around a room. Use a solid shotgun on camera in channel two to get your subject sound, and balance them with your on-camera levels continuously from your headphone feedback and levels peaking for real one-man-band technique. I'd expect more concise or principled content from Stillmotion. Your picture of the bike shows the principle - but it's never mentioned. Get your sound off camera, just like your light!

Re: A New Future for IgnitionDeck

where is the woothemes commerce integration documentation?

Re: Review: Love Wins, by Rob Bell

"It’s unfair to argue against the worst version of a position and assume victory." I disagree there - as your review is one from the point of view of a VERY HIGHLY EDUCATED THEOLOGIAN. My point is that, you have sought a straight line through scripture - that 99.99% of humans never do, nor feel the need to do. So I see Bell's wisdom as that of someone who is reaching souls, not someone who is trying to divide doctrines for the satisfaction of their own education ego. I have sat through many 'beginners' bible studies and instead of addressing the heart issues which hinder new believers into stumbling again into their habitual sins, they are given rounds of useless theology - theology that doesn't produce freedom, or fullness of heart. So as a beginner's antidote, this is a better start. For those of my friends who grew up in didactic and polarizing fundamentalists churches - and have walked away because of it - this is something they could read, and it might heal those wounds of so many who use theology as a bludgeon. Who lead crippled flocks leaning on the heavy stick of determinate bible bashing; instead of open hearted healing and restoration.

Re: Poor people! Stop paying taxes!

It's true - in New York State I paid about 45% of my gross income as taxes, with the only services I received that of roads (public schools were so poor I paid for private). Health coverage would be 2000$ per month as a sole proprietor. In Germany, I could pay %40 in taxes and have public health coverage. So yea, as 'great' as the US is - bureaucracy is eating away it's greatness.

Re: How to get GPS coordinates from an address

I'd love to be able to copy the Geolocation data from a placemark in google maps, into my Lightroom catalog, is this going to get me there?
