I know Reader is still there in the background, but Feedly keeps me from feeling too overwhelmed.

Re: New Facebook Ad Serving Algorithm Causes Drastic Results

It has seemed to turn itself around, too.

Another interesting note, I had been bidding at $0.85 for one of my ads per the suggestion on the page, but noticed the average was about $0.45. Dropped it down to $0.25 and it still used up my daily quota.

After 2 days of that, the suggested bid range displayed is down to where I'm bidding and not up near $1.00. Would have been nice for FB to tell me I was overpaying (not likely).

Re: New Facebook Ad Serving Algorithm Causes Drastic Results

I had tried to create a new ad as your post suggested, but when that didn't seem to help, I paused them all.

Glad to hear yours are turning around again. Just enabled my again, so we'll see how long it takes.

Thanks for the update.

Re: New Facebook Ad Serving Algorithm Causes Drastic Results

I started noticing this, too. Not a big spender, but after about 2-3 weeks of solid results, things tried up overnight.

Anxiously waiting for more news here.

Re: Google Rolls Out Its New and Improved Search Index

was thinking the same thing about the webmaster tools. If not the sitemaps, maybe the rest of the data, too.

Re: Aloha Abroad: Sheila Beal

Mahalo for sharing such a great interview.

I, too, am not only addicted to Hawaii (Maui, more specifically), but I've also been addicted to GoVisitHawaii.com for over a year now, too. And I have admired Sheila's talent as a blogger, deal-finder, and Aloha ambassador on Twitter and elsewhere for just as long.

I can't count how many times I've used her site for planning our own trips, recommended/shared posts from GVH on my blogs, and sent links to her posts to co-workers and friends looking for their first Hawaii experience.

Keep up the great work, Sheila, and we look forward to visiting the islands with you and Andy someday.

- Kris

Re: Put A Little Aloha In Your Shirt

Every year when my wife and I visit Maui, we shop around the local shops on Front Street to pick up a new set of matching Aloha wear (made in Hawaii, of course).

Here's the shot from this year's trip.
http://www.kaanapalidreamin...

Re: Is Facebook Starting to Remove Geographic Regions?

I agree that the regional Network feature is/was a nice approach to finding potential network connections, but was also puzzled why they only limited you to one regional network. I live in the Chicagoland area, but I'm an avid Maui blogger and have a lot of tweeps/friends on the islands. It would be nice to be able to have something to accommodate that type of scenario.

Re: Dinner Sunset

I agree, the second shot is better, while the first isn't one to ignore, either.

Love the fact that it's shot portrait instead of landscape, and the range of the orange at the horizon up to the blues at the top. Have I not seen these amazing sunsets in person, it'd be hard to believe them as real.

Re: Maui: The Valley Isle

I second your note that everyone should experience Maui at least once. Our first visit to the Valley Isle changed our lives forever, and we've been returning ever since.

There is so much to see and do all across the island, it's near impossible to see everything you'd want to enjoy all in one trip. It truly is magical and the phrase Maui No Ka 'Oi couldn't be telling.

Re: Lahaina 4th Of July Fireworks

Nice shots, I bet the view you had was something else, too.

This was my first year trying to shoot the fireworks (at the Taste of Chicago), and I think I did well, but nothing like these!
