I double clicked the wireless network adapter and clicked on the Power Management tab. I unchecked the first box which enabled the computer to turn off the wifi to save power. I'll only know if that works if I stop losing my connection. Worth a shot though.

Usually, when Google does something drastic like this, they've found a
way to save themselves some bucks. A few years ago it was the Great
PayPerPost slapdown when they were getting ready to up their game in
AdSense. It's not that I don't generate traffic and such on my blog, but
I've seen an drastically reduced amount of counted clicks and (in their
estimation) traffic. I rely on Lijit to give me the real stats. Right
now, Google 'owes' me $93.71. I know I'll never see it though.

I live up near Bremerton, but now and then we come to Oly to see family and friends. I grew up in Olympia but have not lived there since 1970. Everyone has their own tastes in food, but small bistro places seem to be very popular right now. I hope this topic continues to be followed and commented on to help us out-of-towners find a good place easily.

Have you thought about using CommentLuv also? I'm not an affiliate or anything, I just mentioned it because I use it and it works very well as some linky love too.

This isn't the same thing as being in business, but as someone who has a incurable and very painful condition, I have learned these lessons too. I know that's off topic, but blogging has greatly helped me take my mind off my physical condition while learning a new set of skills along the way. I don't know that I will get rich, or make a living at it, but I will NEVER give up.

I think there should be as many options for comments on a blog as possible. If it is a Google blog then you should give the option of name/url as well as Open ID, etc. Not everyone has a blogger blog, and we want to be able to leave our website address.

Many of today's parents have abdicated their duties in favor of doing what they want to do. They have kids and expect teachers, clergy and law enforcement to raise them. We live in an "anything goes" society here in the USA, sorry to say. Very good article you have written. Two thumbs up! :)

As a 57 year old adult child of alcoholics, I am happy to say I have not turned into one myself, but I sure have killed a lot of brain cells in my time. I should have known better, but I wanted to "have fun". Now, I am on meds where I can't drink (Lexapro) and don't miss the booze much. Well, except a beer with some Mexican food. LOL No, I am not a doper, I have fibromyalgia and the Lexapro helps with that. Good article!

Our cat Rocky is just a tux cat, so he is always dressed like a snob. LOL I thought your post was very entertaining. I mean, even when we go to the vet's office some of the people come in there with their animals in anything from paper boxes to cloth, or the plastic you talked about. What I am wondering is, if the fancy crates are heavier, does that mean that the snobs have a lackey to schlep their crates around for them?

That was my thought exactly, a pompous snob. I write for PPP also, and I resent it when anyone tries to label me as one of the "the little people" in so many words. Oh well, as usual, it is all about GREED and POWER. Ugh!

You know, it seems to me that the whole hoopla about the PayPerPost/Google PR Slapdown is that what PPP does works, and maybe Google is feeling the heat of competition just a bit. If we could just get that PPP RealRank going, I would be a happy camper.
