I am working on a similar list myself. So many of us forge ahead without these considerations. Some of them make out okay, and some are thinned out of the herd. :)

Consideration of loved ones--there's something high on the list. Honoring those you might have an impact on would help. Lord willing you're with the people who would stand behind your decisions (after a reasonable proposal).

I remember the whole lottery discussion in statistics class, yes quite an expected value there--but you've got to be in it to win it. Of course, no guarantees.

Be adventurous, be sensible, and above all, be real. If you really want to.

Re: HowTo: Coming sooooon!

Oh, please update me. The reader screen started jittering today. Could this perhaps be why? I don't think it's the coffee!

Re: Nothing lasts forever (and why I’m back to blogging)

I don't know if you remember PopFly by Microsoft. It was a dev sandbox a la google gadgets. MS, to the best of my knowledge, shut it down and said AMF. Agreed-free is not free, at least it's not free for long. If no ads, you very well could be a number, i.e., a tool to prove value for a prospective buyer.

Re: FriendFeed Alternative Streamy Hammered By New Traffic

An alternative to FriendFeed?
