I think it works quite well with the man on the floor. And I hope you included it in your book. But I am also one who takes pictures of dead things. I had the number one photo of a dead cat on flickr and google images for a few years.

The animated gifs as an artform has existed for many many years. As 'high brow art', as more then just video clips and justin bieber animations. I have been making 'cinemagraphs' for the last 4 years. (see www.gesticulation.us) I have personally been using the vernacular 'gesticulation' to describe this type of super short form video/moving photograph, though there are many words for the idea, some people have referred to them as 'stereo' photography, though there are more terms I have seen. Jaime Martinez of www.brightlightbrightlight.com has been getting pretty well known for this type of wok as of late as well. Elliot Pohl is another person who has been making images in a similar vain for a good while now, he pointed this article out to me. There have already been a number of artshows in 'real' art galleries showing animated photograph of this nature. So maybe you are just spending too much time on teen message boards if all you are seeing are "sparkly Bieber animations". Look around you, explore, the internet is a vast place.

I have been posting my moving images at http://gesticulation.us for about 3 years now. finaly got a Nishika a few months ago, really fun camera. Its exciting to see so many people getting into this...

wait, what? that makes absolutely no sense, you weren't going to use tumblr because the staff blog had its own icon instead of including little versions of all the employees icons, and might let group blogs do the same?

animated gifs over 500pixels wide to not display in tumblr with out the full resolution pictures being enabled. you have to go into your code and replace the image size code with the full res image size code.
