You're right (using the same principles), and I do need to use some parts to my advantage!! :-)

I'm going to try these principles at the Collision Conference in May, and hopefully report good news. (Although I'm invited to that one so it's not in "true" style), but I still gotta work the room... lol

I have subscribed to this podcast a while ago, and the funny part is, so much helps and applies to me yet I am not part of your target audience cause I'm a woman. I know that I have had some ways to get into parties, but listening to this, especially knowing a little about the people in all the stories you've mentioned, it helped me to realize I was just being a pussy, can I say pussy in the comments), by not building my own life and waiting for stuff to happen.

How silly of me.

Anyway, this post had rejuvenated me in ways you don't know, and I will probably listen to it 4 more times (and I never do that), and you should see me soon, probably at a part in my lady tux (or something equivalent).

Hey Al, loved this and wanted to write one similar.. I always look at these apps, and as a UX Designer who has been approached by new dating apps coming out there, always trying to figure out how to get people OFF the internet and their phones and looking up at the cool people around them. Not so much.. Anyway.. we should do a social experiment (I am a Philly native as well, and love taking photos, and have been on a host of horrible dates that I was going to put into a memoir). Anyway, I'm (@chanelleh) on Instagram, we should connect. I gave up alcohol for lent so we can have tea.. lol.

I have been waiting for this to start since I first heard about it randomly (I'm still trying to figure out where and when, call it serendipity I suppose). But it's crazy just how much everything you wrote in here is something that I felt I have written or wanted to say but just couldn't. Even down to the quote from Howard Thurman (which I have on my blog), and other random things.

For lack of shameless plugging, I will not include links.

I am excited to see where this goes and how to be apart. I have reached a point in my career where on the outside it looks like I'm happy, can do amazing things (I'm a Director of UX at a mid-large corporation in NYC, SF and worldwide), but I'm not. I want more, always have. Just turned down an even bigger position at one of the Big 5s in Silicon Valley...

Yes I guess I am, but your post just reminded me how much I'm not alone. I enjoy to do more meaningful things, always feel overwhelmed because of the amount I want to do and feel like I have no support whatsoever.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this, I still don't have an answer, but at least I know I'm not alone.

There's more detail on his actual website as to the dosages taken. Some were snorted, some were in excess, and he suffered brain damage from it all.. so I think it's pretty valid that this dude sacrificed himself for the name of art.

One way that we are using growth hacking (which I love the concept because it puts the focus on the user and not numbers), is that we are building a product that captures businesses as well as users, but we are starting with the business (bloggers) first. We are taking the time to nurture and gather each one of our bloggers individually to know exactly how to build the product for them, so that afterwards we will have a product based off a need, and not just to make it look pretty.

I would love to win this because as a entrepreneur and mobile app designer, I feel that this would help build my business as well as build me up as a professional. I fell in love with designing for the iPhone 4 years ago, and then wither other platforms (android, windows 7 phone) shortly thereafter. I feel that it is only half rewarding to be able to offer a design with no development. It's like having a mannequin as a friend. It looks good, but you still feel alone because they don't have life. Thats what my apps are missing. Life! I know that I would learn so much from this course and be able to help other aspiring designers along the way if I were to feel like a complete designer who could develop her own apps. This would be awesome! ;-)

As an Interactive Designer who tries to stay at home and have an office atmosphere here, I am constantly on the lookout for more tools that will help me be efficient, and this is perfect! I specialize in Mobile Application Design and sometimes drawing on paper and telling people how it will work, isn't ideal.. lol.. And they usually don't know how to work my paper buttons. This software would be perfect! I'd love to win it because, while I'm doing great in my business, I'm not able to purchase this on my own just yet, and would love to use it. I would totally spread the word about it too, so they should consider me their little ambassador at that point!
