That's what would make it a great troll on Trump's part. He could sarcastically roll his eyes and be like "yeah ok, I guess technically that counts" in his ridiculously sarcastic voice, while writing a check for a million dollars as if it was pennies. His fans would eat that up.

This is obviously no on all counts. I'm still betting an NYT staffer wrote it himself, but if the source is real and one of the people on the list, there's no way NYT gives him up before the end of the year. Like maybe they'll threaten to next time they want some insider information, but it'll take more than 4 months for them to make good on that threat.

That one has a time limit though. It was fine to say that "America Is Already Great" during the campaign, but now that Trump has been President for over a year, they have to answer the question of whether it's currently great. Obviously Democrats want to say it's not great currently, but saying that it used to be great but currently isn't, basically implies that they want to MAGA. So, they just went full crazy and decided it was never great and should never be great.
