Too often I've had clients look at me blankly when I've asked them to describe who their customers are and how the client's products or services fit into their lives. It's why we always aim to include clients in our user research and testing on digital projects - it's almost invariably cathartic for them to observe actual customers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The one I'm not sure I understand is P-mapping. At first sight it feels to me as pointless as a SWOT analysis, the only difference being that it's based on customer research rather than a marketer's conjecture.
