If the business is a larger company with employees, every employee who utilizes the social web should also be aware that everything they do or say online is not always completely private. Therefore, employers should inform their employees to consider conducting themselves properly online in regard to their employer as well as maintaining their own personal reputation online as well.

Re: Celebrities Arrive On Twitter Scene

Shared by @socialmediamind http://www.itworld.com/secu...

Re: Celebrities Arrive On Twitter Scene

This article link was posted on Twitter by @guykawasaki: http://www.nowpublic.com/cu...

Re: Celebrities Arrive On Twitter Scene

This article link was posted on Twitter by @trendtracker - http://www.businessinsider....

Re: HOW TO: Get the Most Out of Status Updates

You guys never cease to amaze us! So very true. Promoting a brand with social media also requires a bit of social web knowledge and organization to navigate the social web with efficiency.

Re: Can Anyone Be Your Facebook Friend?

My business is about web presence, but when I receive a new friend request, I always review their information first. If they don't appear to be legit and don't include a friendly intro message, most likely they simply won't get added.

On Facebook, you can now create lists and then add your new friends to certain lists (ie, you can create lists such as personal friends, school mates, family, business associates). When a friend request is received, you are offered a pull-down menu where you can select the appropriate list. You can add or edit anytime you wish by going to the "friends" link at the top of your home page

Furthermore, you can maintain a certain level of privacy associated with those lists in your account privacy settings.

Lastly, when it comes to being inundated with TMI on your homepage news feed, you can now select a specific view from each of those lists you created.

Re: Are You On Facebook®?

Facebook has recently opened up it's platform, further allowing even more visibility for your business pages. Public Business Pages (aka: Fan Pages) now publish updates into their fan's news stream. In addition, users have the option to see as much or as little info from their connections as they'd like.

Re: I love my new Mac (list of cool utilities from Twitter)

My husband bought me one for my birthday and I LOVE it!
